    • A system for securing a valve actuator to body of a valve assembly includes an actuator housing having housing lugs protruding radially to define a plurality of housing slots therebetween. A bonnet has bonnet lugs protruding radially to define a plurality of bonnet slots therebetween. Each of the housing lugs are sized to pass axially through a respective one of the bonnet slots when the actuator housing is in a released position and, after passing through the bonnet slots, the actuator housing is rotatable to a locked position where at least a portion of one or more of the housing lugs is axially aligned with a portion of a respective bonnet lug to prevent axial movement of the actuator housing, the actuator housing rotating less than one full revolution between the released and locked positions. A securing mechanism prevents relative rotation between the actuator housing and the bonnet.

    • A valve which prevents the filling of a fluid container through a port (6) by an unauthorized party, and, at the same time, allows the filling of the container through the same port (6) by an authorized party. The valve is operated by an actuator means (10) which controls the fluid flow through the valve. The valve combines two major features: (1) operation of the actuator means (10) is by an encoded device (32) whose code is known only to the authorized party; (2) the actuator mean is sealed within the valve housing or container so that physical access to the actuator means (10) is restricted. This combination of features makes the valve tamper-proof and actuatable by authorized parties only. Also disclosed is a valve system and a method for preventing unauthorized access to a fluid container.

    • Theft of an automotive motor vehicle is precluded by an antitheft device inserted into an automatic transmission fluid line. The anti-theft device has a plurality of ported members mounted on a common shaft and rotatable to predetermined positions to align the ports and form a fluid passageway and a blocking member which is operatively connected to the ported members and arranged to move into the passageway upon cessation of fluid flow therethrough. Operation of the blocking member and the ported members is coordinated so that the blocking member is removed from the passageway as the ported members are moved into the aligned positions.

    • A lockable hydraulic valve for preventing unauthorized use of a system, machinery item or vehicle requiring operation by both electric and hydraulic circuits. The valve comprising a housing provided with a spool bore and at least one hydraulic inlet and at least one hydraulic outlet. A spool allows oil passage from inlet to outlet in a first spool position. A key can drive the spool 90 degrees from a second, locked position to a first open position. A lock member in a hollow provided in the solid housing, engages and revolves the spool and also serves to block access to the exposed end of the spool. A locator member prevents axial movement of the spool member and locates in a spool groove. A non-central spool projection projects outward and operates at least one electric switch to immobilize at least one essential electric circuit simultaneously to the blocking of oil flow.
