    • A timing lock device for a faucet includes a valve seat, a top cover, a locking washer, a relief rod, a locking valve shaft, and a compression spring. In use, the relief rod may be used to release the water pressure in the pressure storage chamber of the top cover. Then, the locking washer may be moved upward by the locking valve shaft, so that the water may flow outward. When not in use, the water may flow through the return through hole of the top cover into the pressure storage chamber. Thus, the water flow may be stopped automatically by the restoring force of the compression spring and the water pressure in the pressure storage chamber, thereby saving the manual work, and thereby achieving an excellent leakproof effect.

    • A self-closing valve assembly has a main valve having a seat between a high-pressure input conduit and a low-pressure output conduit, a main valve element movable into and out of engagement with the seat to block and permit flow from the input conduit to the output conduit, and a chamber behind the main valve element pressurizable to press the main valve element against the seat. A small-diameter passage extends from the input conduit to the chamber so that the chamber can be pressurized via the passage from the input conduit to hold the valve element against the seat. A pilot or control valve connected between the chamber and the output conduit can be opened to depressurize the chamber and thereby lift the valve element off the seat. A throttle valve has a throttle body having an outer face exposed to pressurized liquid in the input conduit and an inner face turned toward a mouth of the passage, a formation on the inner face blockingly engageable with the passage mouth, an abutment adjacent the mouth of the passage and operatively engageable with the throttle body so that the pressurized liquid in the input conduit will urge the body toward the mouth of the passage and toward the abutment, a weak spring for holding the throttle body at a spacing from the mouth and from the abutment, and a strong spring effective when the body inner face is against the abutment for urging the body away from the mouth of the passage.

    • A valve for delivering a metered flow of liquid for flushing of a plumbing fixture or the like includes inlet and outlet ports and a main valve controlling flow from the inlet to the outlet port. A control chamber is in pressure communication with the main valve and a restricted flow path from the inlet port to the control chamber increases the control pressure to hold the main valve closed in a standby condition. A pilot valve is opened by an actuator to reduce control pressure and initiate a cycle of operation of the main valve. A snap acting mechanism is movable between two stable positions for opening and closing the pilot valve. The actuator is capable of operating the snap acting mechanism for opening the pilot valve in its fully opened position closes the pilot valve regardless of the position of the actuator.

    • An improved metering valve, or flush valve, incorporates a rolling diaphragm mechanism of a cylindrical elastromeric material providing a smoothly transitioning flow rate control from the full open to the full close position. The rolling diaphragm sealing means is actuated by a floating cup driven by the differential pressure between the valve fluid inlet and an intermediate actuation control chamber. The valve control is spring biased to the normally closed position and is actuated by dumping all fluid from the control chamber through a poppet mechanism which is triggered mechanically through a sealing diaphragm. Upon dumping fluid from the metering chamber, the actuating cup is compressed by the pressure of the inlet fluids to roll the diaphragm to a substantially open position. A metering orifice within the actuating cup passes fluid from the inlet at a controlled rate to the metering chamber which, by the transfer of fluids through the metering orifice, is gradually filled with fluid and expands moving the rolling diaphragm towards the sealingly closed position. The amount of fluid passed is substantially a function of the size of the metering orifice. The metering orifice has a range in sizes. The design of the valve is such that the dynamic pressures across the rolling diaphragm are essentially in balance during actuation and closure, thus the closing bias can be established with a relatively weak spring mechanism or the like.
