摘要： A clutch for transmitting and limiting torque from a driving side, including a driving machine with a hub, to a driven side, and including a driven device. One pressure ring is located on the driving side, and a second pressure ring is located on the driven side. The pressure rings each include a lateral surface which face each other. At least one of the lateral surfaces has depressions formed therein. A locking spring element surrounds the hub and is in positive, detachable, active connection with the depressions. The active connection positively engages to transmit torque between the pressure rings and detaches to limit the torque transmitted between the pressure rings.

摘要： A rotational force transmission device includes a transmission mechanism disposed on an input gear, and a ratchet member disposed on an output gear. The transmission mechanism includes a first sleeve having a first interlocker, a second sleeve having a second interlocker that engages with the first interlocker with a rotation clearance in the circumferential direction, and a coil spring disposed between the first and second sleeves. When a drive source is stopped, the second sleeve can idly rotate within the rotation clearance between the first and second interlockers. The first sleeve has a first retainer, and the second sleeve has a second retainer engaging with the first retainer in the axial direction. The first sleeve, the second sleeve, and an urging member are unitized by the engagement of the first and second retainers.

摘要： A method of making a wear and fatigue resistant component of a power tool (e.g., a clutch) includes providing a quantity of base steel and a quantity of alloying elements to be added to the base steel to form a desired alloyed grade of steel. The base steel and alloying elements are combined and melted to produce a molten alloyed steel (e.g., SAE 9310 or AISI M2). The molten alloyed steel is cast using a near-net-shape investment casting process to form a component of a power tool. An edge of the component is pre-radiused. and the component is case hardened after the edge of the component has been pre-radiused. In one implementation, the component is a clutch that has a lifespan of at least twice a lifespan of a second clutch that has not been pre-radiused prior to case hardening.
