    • A superconductor-magnet bearing system can include a first bearing portion and a second bearing portion. One of the first and second bearing portions can be at least partially composed of a high-temperature superconductor (HTS) and another can be at least partially composed of a magnet. The first bearing portion can be disposed at least partially within an opening of the second bearing portion with a gap between the first and second portions. A magnetic bearing portion can include a plurality of rings disposed next to one another. An HTS bearing portion can include a magnet. The bearing portions can be biased toward an alignment with one another. One bearing portion can rotate relative to another bearing portion.

    • An outer rotor superconductor journal bearing that comprising modules and including an outer rotor superconductor journal bearing that cools a superconductor that is mechanically fixed to a module below a critical temperature, attains a strong magnetic fixing force in an axial direction and a radial direction, prevents the superconductor from being damaged due to a different thermal expansion between the superconductor and a cryostat when cooled, and is easier for assembling and repair and maintenance. Preferably, the outer rotor superconductor journal bearing includes a rotor in which a solid of revolution magnet is magnetized in an axis direction in an inner portion of an inner circumference thereof; and a stator comprising a cryostat in the shape of a cylinder in which a superconductor that is tightly adhered to an inner circumference of the rotor is mounted in an outer circumference of the cryostat.

    • The invention relates to a magnet assembly for the suspension and guidance of suspended vehicles and transport systems. The aim of the invention is to create an intrinsically stable, contactiess magnetic suspension and guidance system composed of an assembly of magnetic elements and a superconductor assembly for suspended vehicles and transport systems. According to the invention, at least one part of the magnetic element assembly is physically connected to the superconductor assembly. In addition, the magnetic element assembly and the superconductor assembly are magnetically intercoupled to maintain a stable distance between at least two magnetic elements, by the utilisation of a magnetic field that is frozen in the superconductor. The magnetic assembly can be used in particular in those vehicles and transport systems that are configured to be displaced along a magnetic rail without making contact with the latter, thus enabling a displacement devoid of friction and abrasion.
