摘要： A fluid power system comprises a pump with multiple independently variable outlets, each of which is capable of delivering fluid in individually controllable volume units and a plurality of hydraulic loads. A system of switching valves is configured to create fluid connections between the pump outlets and the loads. A control system commands both the pump and the switching valves, so as to create valve state combinations to satisfy load conditions as demanded by an operator. The number of pump outlets connected to one or more of the loads is changeable to satisfy the flow required of the load due to the operator demand, each pump outlet being commanded to produce a flow depending on the status of other outlets connected a load to which the outlet is connected and the operator demand for that load.

The hydraulic system may function as a hydraulic transformer. The hydraulic system may transfer energy between a high pressure fluid supply (e.g., from a pump), an accumulator, a hydraulic component (e.g., a hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic motor, and/or a hydraulic pump-motor), and/or an input/output shaft. The hydraulic system may include a single rotating group with a common axis. Each of the valve sets may include a first valve that fluidly connects to the pump, a second valve that fluidly connects to a tank, a third valve that fluidly connects to the accumulator, and a fourth valve that fluidly connects to the hydraulic component. The valves may have a valving period set to less than half or one-third of a rotational period of the rotating group. The valves may have a frequency of greater than 100 Hertz and may be digitally controlled.

摘要： Engine anti-idling and restart may be implemented in a machine having a power source, a movable work tool, a pump driven by the power source, an actuator receiving fluid from the pump and moving the work tool, a high-pressure fluid reservoir, and an assist motor operatively connected to the power source. Engine restart may include detecting operator input to start the power source, and fluidly connecting the fluid reservoir to the assist motor to assist in starting the power source in response to detecting the operator input. Prior to shutting down the power source during anti-idling, fluid from the pump may be input to the assist motor, pressurized and communicated to the high-pressure fluid reservoir in response to determining that idle condition exists and a reservoir charge pressure is less than a reservoir minimum restart pressure needed to restart the power source.

摘要： In conventional load-sense systems, there is a delay between a hydraulic function being impeded by an external force and further motion of the function. This is typically due to cavitation on the low pressure side of the pump. Electro-hydraulic systems, however, typically respond very quickly because the low pressure side of the pump may be pressurized because the low-pressure side of the actuator may feed directly to the pump rather than going to tank. Thus, an operator cannot as easily rely on feedback for when a function has encountered an external load. This may result in loss of vehicle traction or other drawbacks. Therefore, provided is a system and method for mimicking a load-sense system's responsiveness using an electro-hydrostatic system via an induced passive or active time-delay.

The hydraulic control system further includes an actuator and an accumulator fluidly coupled to the pump motor and the actuator. The hydraulic control system further includes an accumulator valve and a controller. The accumulator valve is fluidly coupled between the accumulator and the pump motor. The controller is in communication with the pump motor and the accumulator valve. The controller is configured to detect an operator command to operate the power source; determine pressure at the accumulator; and selectively move the accumulator valve to fluidly connect the accumulator with the pump motor.

摘要： An outlet port of a hydraulic pump/motor and a bottom chamber of a lift cylinder are connected to each other by a hydraulic fluid passage. A hydraulic fluid passage that is connected to a hydraulic fluid tank is formed to branch off the hydraulic fluid passage. A flow control valve controls the hydraulic fluid delivered from the lift cylinder when the fork is lowered, thereby regulating the flow rate of hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic pump/motor and the flow rate of hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic fluid tank. If regenerative operation can be performed, the flow control valve is closed and hydraulic fluid is delivered to the hydraulic pump/motor. If regenerative operation cannot be performed, the flow control valve is opened and hydraulic fluid is delivered to the hydraulic fluid tank. In either case, the fork can be lowered at an instructed speed.

The hydraulic system may include an actuator configured to receive and discharge fluid via a first passage and a second passage, an input device configured to generate a signal indicative of a desire to operate the actuator, and pump configured to draw low-pressure fluid from one of the first and second passages and discharge fluid at an elevated pressure into the other of the first and second passages based on the signal from the input device. The hydraulic system may further include a charge circuit fluidly connected to the first and second passages, a force modulation control valve configured to selectively direct fluid from either of the first and second passages to the charge circuit based on the signal from the input device, and at least one relief valve configured to selectively direct fluid discharged from the pump to the charge circuit when the elevated pressure exceeds a pressure relief threshold.
