    • An electromagnetic pump including a piston, an electromagnetic portion that moves the piston forward, and a spring that moves the piston backward. The piston including a discharge check valve built in the piston. The piston is formed with a hollow portion that opens in an inner peripheral portion of an end surface of the piston, and a spring receiving surface formed on an outer peripheral portion of the end surface to receive the spring. The discharge check valve is fixed through plastic deformation of the piston by inserting the discharge check valve into the hollow portion from an opening of the piston, and partially pressing a portion of the spring receiving surface of the piston on an inner peripheral side after the insertion to recess the spring receiving surface and elevate an inner peripheral surface of the piston surrounding the hollow portion.

    • The present invention relates to a dosing valve and to a dosing device (15) for introducing a liquid medium into an exhaust-gas stream of an internal combustion engine (1) of a motor vehicle. The dosing device (15) has a pump (23) for delivering the liquid medium. The medium is injected into the exhaust-gas stream by means of a dosing valve (13) which can be controlled by way of an electromagnet (65). The dosing device (13) comprises a housing (33) with a stepped bore (34, 34.1, 34.2, 34.3, 34.4), wherein a pump sleeve (47) is guided sealingly in one portion (34.4) of the stepped bore (34). A hollow-bored piston (49) is guided sealingly in a central bore (48) of the pump sleeve (47). In a low-pressure chamber (61), an armature (69) is fastened to the piston (49), and furthermore a magnet sleeve (67) is fastened to the housing (33). A stop sleeve (75) is arranged on a side of the low-pressure chamber (61) situated opposite the magnet sleeve (67), wherein a stroke of the piston (49) is limited by the magnet sleeve (67) and/or by the stop sleeve (75).

    • A pump includes a housing with a pumping chamber, first and second check valves, and an inlet and an outlet in fluid communication with the pumping chamber through the check valves. The housing also includes a linear actuator with a pumping element located in the pumping chamber wherein actuation of the linear actuator induces the pumping element to move between the first and second check valves between a first position wherein the pump element moves toward the first check valve and generates a positive pressure in the pumping chamber that maintains the first check valve closed and opens the second check valve to allow fluid to flow to the outlet, and a second position wherein the pumping element moves away from the first check valve and reduces the pressure in the pumping chamber to allow the first check valve to open and draw in fluid from the inlet.
