    • A carburetor throttle valve actuation assembly for a combustion engine is readily adapted for use as a remote control actuator, a local control throttle actuator, or both together providing an optional choice for the end user. The carburetor has a throttle valve having a shaft journaled to a body for movement about a rotation axis. A slave lever connects rigidly to a distal end of the shaft projecting outward from the body. A connection spaced radially outward from the axis engages the slave lever to a radially projecting swivel member of a local, manually operated, throttle valve actuation assembly. The swivel member rotates in unison with the slave lever about the axis, is spaced axially outward from the shaft and is journaled to a bracket engaged rigidly to the body. Preferably, the connection has a hole in the slave lever. If the remote throttle control actuator is used, a Bowden wire engages to a pin projecting axially outward from the slave lever at the hole. If the local throttle control actuator is used either a cylindrical void carried by the swivel member mates to the pin, or a peg projecting outward from the swivel member and toward the body is inserted into the hole forming the connection that permits axial movement of the slave lever with respect to the swivel member.

    • A carburetor draining system for safe and convenient draining. A vessel posterior end of a vessel is disposed against a carburetor body. A vessel base is disposed against a vessel anterior end. A base aperture is disposed on the vessel base. A stem posterior portion of a drain stem is disposed inside the vessel chamber and a stem anterior portion protrudes from the base aperture. A drain port disposed through the stem posterior portion intersects a drain channel disposed inside the stem anterior portion. A locking mechanism secures the vessel to the carburetor body. A valve body of a valve is removeably disposed inside the drain channel. A first seal on the valve body is pressed against an interior surface of the drain channel. A second seal is disposed on a valve stem. A valve handle moves the valve into a closed position or an open position for draining.

    • The disclosure embraces a charge forming apparatus or carburetor and method of operation thereof wherein the charge forming apparatus is of modular construction and is inclusive of a body construction and a fluid flow control construction associated with the body construction, the fluid flow control construction being of laminar character fashioned with open areas or passages accommodating fluid flow or transfer, the fluid flow control being of a character enabling the interchangeability of fluid flow control laminations having different or modified patterns or arrangements of open areas or passages whereby the method of operation or the operating or metering characteristics of the charge forming apparatus may be changed or modified without alteration of the body construction. The provision of interchangeable fluid flow control laminations or members facilitates standardization of the body whereby the standardized charge forming apparatus may be rendered usable with engines of different sizes and operating characteristics by employing a fluid flow control construction having a selected orientation of open areas or passages accommodating fluid flow.
