摘要： The bearing apparatus 1 includes a crankshaft having multiple journals, main bearings supporting the crankshaft, and a bearing housing. The plurality of journals include a first journal with a lubricating oil passage and a second journal without a lubricating oil passage. The first and second journals are supported by first and second main bearings, respectively. The bearing housing is constituted by an Al-alloy upper housing and an Fe-alloy lower housing. The depth of the oil groove of the upper half bearing of the second main bearing at least in a ±45° region is equal to or smaller than a half of the depth of the oil groove of the upper half bearing of the first main bearing in the ±45° region.

摘要： A rocking journal bearing is provided in a piston coupling mechanism of a two-stroke cycle engine. The bearing includes a sleeve and a wristpin constructed with two sets of eccentrically-disposed bearing surfaces which alternate in accepting a compressive load during an operational cycle of the bearing. The sleeve includes a network of grooves to transport oil to the bearing surfaces. Lubricating oil flow through the bearing is minimized by limiting provision of pressurized oil from the wristpin to the network of grooves to portions of the cycle when one or the other of the sets of bearing surfaces receives the compressive load.

The bearing apparatus includes a crankshaft having a plurality of journal portions and a plurality of crank pin portions; a main bearing supporting the crankshaft; and a bearing housing holding the main bearing. The plurality of journal portions include a first journal portion having a lubricating oil passage and a second journal portion not having the lubricating oil passage. The first and second journal portions and are supported by the first and second main bearings and. The bearing housing includes an Al alloy upper housing and an Fe alloy lower housing. The groove depth of the oil groove of the upper half bearing of the second main bearing is one half or less than the groove depth of the oil groove of the upper half bearing of the first main bearing.

摘要： In an outboard motor, a feed passage, through which a lubricating oil that flows upward from a gear mechanism due to rotation of the gear mechanism is fed upward from a gear chamber, includes a first feed passage, extending from the gear chamber to a connection passage via a first upstream passage, a spiral passage, and an interior of an upper bearing, in that order, and a second feed passage, extending from the first upstream passage to the connection passage while bypassing the spiral passage via a bypass passage. The bypass passage is positioned farther outward than the spiral passage in a radial direction of the driveshaft. A diameter of a cross section of the bypass passage that is orthogonal or substantially orthogonal to a center line of the driveshaft is smaller than a maximum diameter of the driveshaft.

摘要： A first aspect of an oil distributing structure for an internal combustion engine includes a bearing support wall including a plurality of guide ribs which are radially mounted on a surface thereof. The guide ribs may be integrally formed, and extend around an upper half of the bearing, for collecting oil which is splashed onto, and flows down the wall surface. In a second aspect of an oil distributing structure for an internal combustion engine, a slanted edge portion, descending toward the bearing, is formed on the bearing support wall, and is disposed laterally of a lower portion of the bearing. The described structure is useful for collecting oil splashed onto a wall surface of a crankcase, and for supplying the collected oil to a bearing in an internal combustion engine of the type in which a crankshaft bearing is supplied with oil splashed from nearby gears.
