    • A lock includes a housing having an insertion hole in which a pivot is inserted. A slide is connected to one end of the pivot. A spring is located in the insertion hole and applies a first resilient force toward the insertion hole, and a second resilient force toward a direction that the slide pivots. When the slide is located at a first position, the installation recess is covered by the slide to prevent water and dust from entering into the installation recess. When the slide located at a second position, at least one portion of the slide does not cover the installation recess to allow the lock to be unlocked. When the slide located at a third position, the slide is located higher than the first end face of the protrusion and is pivotable so that the installation recess is explored for convenience of replacement of the core.

    • A padlock includes a body having a first recess in the top thereof. A slide slot is defined in one side of the body and communicates with the first recess. A slide is located in the slide slot and movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The slide protrudes beyond the body when the slide is located at the locked position, and is retracted into the body when the slide is located at the unlocked position. A housing is mounted to the body and has a first hole defined in the inside thereof. Two second holes are defined in the top of the housing. The slide is located in the first hole when the slide is located at the locked position. The slide can be moved and separated from the housing to replace the shackle and the cylinder when the padlock is unlocked.

    • A dual locking padlock having a code locking mechanism and an overriding mechanism is disclosed. The housing has a top body, a stack of dials and clutches mounted on a bottom body, and a spindle engaging with the clutches. The spindle has a channel to store the heel of a shackle. An upward movement of the spindle allows the shackle to be pulled upward to unlock the padlock. Each dial has a plurality of teeth with slope-like surfaces to engage with the wave slots of a clutch. Clutches are rotatable relative to the spindle only when the lock is in the locked mode along with the dials. In the opened mode, a dial can be turned relative to a clutch by disengaging the teeth from wave-slots. The spindle is allowed to move upward either when a correct combination code is used or when a key activates the overriding mechanism.
