    • An electromechanical actuator comprises a body element and an elongated interaction element. One of the elements includes an electromagnet and the other ferromagnetic material or permanent magnet. The elements are arranged with respect to each other so that a rotational motion may be imparted to the interaction element by a magnetic field created by the electromagnet. The interaction element is rotatable between two rotational positions by changing the polarity of energization of the electromagnet. At one rotational position the interaction element is displaceable by an external force applied to one end in a direction along its rotation axis. The interaction element cooperates with the body element in a manner such that they together define the range of axial movement of the interaction element.

    • Provided is a key cylinder for an electronic locking device including a cylinder housing forming an appearance and a cylinder plug installed in the cylinder housing to lock and release the cylinder housing, wherein the cylinder plug includes a lock head including a key insertion hole into which a key head of a publicly known electronic key is removably inserted to a front side, a printed circuit board exchanging power and authentication data from the publicly known electronic key by installing key connection pins in a connection housing installed through the lock head, accessing to the key connection pins and equipping with a microprocessor and EEPROM, a driving motor performing normal rotation and reverse rotation drive in accordance with an input signal of the printed circuit board, a spur gear installed in an axis of the driving motor, a lock pin guider fixed in a rear direction of the cylinder plug, a direction conversion rotary ring rotating in accordance with drive of the driving motor by an internal gear rotatably installed through a fixing axis in the center of the lock pin guider and engaged with the spur gear in a front direction and a spiral groove formed in a rear direction, and a lock pin installed in the lock pin guider such that a pin hole formed in a direction perpendicular to an axis direction of the cylinder plug fluctuates, inserted into one side of a spiral groove formed in the direction conversion rotary ring, positioned through a straight guide wall intercommunicating with the pin hole, and appearing and disappearing in lock holes and formed in the cylinder housing by moving in a perpendicular direction to axis rotation of the direction conversion rotary ring through installation of a foot pin performing straight line motion to realized locking and release of the key cylinder.

    • An electromechanical cylinder lock-key combination includes a cylinder housing and a cylinder core rotatably arranged in the cylinder housing and having a key-way for receiving a key. A plurality of key actuated moveable blocking elements block the rotation of the cylinder core unless a correct key is inserted in the key-way. An optical code reader in the lock reads an optical code element provided on an inserted key. At least one of said blocking elements functions as a bar element barring insertion of the key into the key-way unless a correct optical code element is provided on the key. By using at least one of the mechanical elements already present in the lock as part of the electronically controlled blocking mechanism, in combination with the use of an optical code requiring no moveable parts for the reading thereof, space requirements in the lock device are kept to a minimum.

    • A tamper resistant lock. A lock has a lock housing with housing indentation. A cylinder is rotatably housed within the housing. A locking pin is connected to the cylinder and is inserted into the housing indentation when the lock is in a locked position and the locking pin is clear of the housing indentation when the lock is in an unlocked position. An anti-tampering mechanism is positioned between the housing and the cylinder. The anti-tampering mechanism receives a user's key and also includes a relative motion hole. A key extension portion is rotatably inserted inside the anti-tampering mechanism body and includes a relative motion indentation. The key extension portion is keyed to the cylinder. A lock ball is inserted into the relative motion hole and the relative motion indention, thereby preventing relative motion between the anti-tampering mechanism body and the key extension portion. A flexible band is wrapped around the anti-tampering mechanism body and covers the lock ball and holds the lock ball in place in the relative motion hole and relative motion indentation. The flexibility of the flexible band is sufficient to permit the lock ball to leave the relative motion indentation while simultaneously retaining the lock ball in the relative motion hole if the anti-tampering mechanism body is rotated while the locking pin is inserted into the housing indentation, thereby permitting relative motion between the anti-tampering mechanism body and the key extension portion. In a preferred embodiment the tamper resistant lock is a padlock.
