摘要： An awning assembly with a mount portion, an extendable bar assembly, an upper canopy being retractable to a compact configuration adjacent to the mount portion and extendable to an extended position upon extension of the extendable bar assembly to provide shade from above, a lower canopy coupled with the extendable bar assembly and extendable therefrom to provide shade from a side position. The extendable bar assembly comprises a first roller coupled with the upper canopy, a second roller coupled with the lower canopy and a motion generator coupled with the second roller, the motion generator configured to store energy as the second roller is moved to retract the lower canopy and configured to use the stored energy to move the second roller to extend the lower canopy from the extendable bar assembly.

摘要： An awning assembly attachment is provided which is connectable to an awning assembly and allows adjustable installation of supports. In some embodiments, the attachment has a head which is connectable to an awning groove to allow for adjustable positioning of the attachments. The supports may be installed at seats of the attachment. The supports provide for the use of partitions that define walls of a porch or enclosure, or for connection of a tension rafter or a de-flapper structure, among other things.

The illumination system includes a light strip that is seated or embedded within a longitudinal channel formed in the attachment body. The misting system includes a plurality of misting nozzles that are tapped into bores in the attachment body and are in open communication with an internal fluid passage formed in the attachment body that runs its entire length. A connection fitting is connected to the fluid passage at one end of the attachment body and an end plug closes the fluid passage at the opposite end of the attachment body.

摘要： Awning mechanism for store-front awnings and the like to provide protection against sunlight, rain, etc. The awning mechanism includes a primary awning roller on which the awning cloth is wound and which is provided with means for imparting rotation thereto. A parallel drop tube is affixed to scissor-jack extension arms which hold the drop tube at variable distances from the primary awning roller. In one embodiment of the invention, the drop tube contains a rotatable reversing roller and a longitudinal slot which permits looping the awning cloth over the reversing roller. After the awning cloth emerges from the drop tube, it depends freely therefrom to constitute a flyer of variable length. The reversing roller is provided with separate rotating means so as to permit an independent adjustment of the length of the dependent portion of the awning. In a second embodiment of the invention, the flyer is a separate piece of awning material which is wound up on a flyer shaft mounted rotatably within the drop tube while the terminal edge of the principal awning is affixed in the top of the drop tube by being held in a longitudinal groove.
