    • A drywall butt joint system for efficiently recessing a butt joint between two sheets of drywall. The drywall butt joint system is comprised of an elongate structure having a middle section, a first angled section and a second angled section extending from opposing edges of the middle section, and a first section and a second section extending from the opposing angled sections substantially parallel to the middle section. A first support and a second support are preferably attached to the outer edges of the first section and second section respectively in a manner traverse to the middle section thereby increasing the overall strength of the drywall butt joint system. The elongate structure is preferably roll formed from a sheet of metal for increased strength and decreased manufacturing cost.

    • A drywall support device for the temporary support of drywall, such as for ceiling installation, during installation. This device is a small and compact device having a piercing end, a supporting tongue, and a striking end. The piercing end and the striking end are opposite one another and essentially in the same plane which is transverse to the plane in which the supporting tongue lies. The drywall support device has the piercing end merely driven substantially perpendicular into a ceiling joist by striking the striking end with a hammer. The tongue supports one end of the drywall sheet while the installer secures the opposite end working towards the support devices. Once the entire sheet is secured, the drywall support devices are removed and reused in the installation of the next sheet. The drywall support device is also useful for installing drywall sheets on walls with ceilings above standard height, such as in old homes where ceiling may be over eight feet or in homes with cathedral ceilings.

    • A modular drywall is erected wherein a metallic framework is initially formed including spaced vertical rails integrally and orthogonally mounting respective horizontal and vertical rails at upper and lower terminal ends respectively of the vertical rails. Drywall panels are subsequently fastened to forwardly projecting ends of the framework and subsequently filler strips are provided wherein the filler strips are formed to encompass and bridge gaps between drywall panels. The filler strips include a planar forward strip mouting a rearwardly extending longitudinally aligned projecting strip with a magnetic strip mounted to a rear end surface of the projecting strip to secure each filler strip to an associated metallic rail.

    • Method of blind anchoring for mounting on plasterboard or other dry wall panels having inaccessable backs, fixtures attachable by screws or bolts, the assembly having as a blind anchor member a strong stiff elongated machinable plate, as a puller a flexible string or cord passed through a central drilling in and knotted beyond the back of the plate, and a self-sticking adhesive coating on the front of the plate. Using a flange of the fixture as a marking template, an opening, within the perimeters of the flange and any screw holes therein, is cut through the wall. Sized to fit, the anchor plate with the string attached is inserted through the wall opening and after positioning manually by fingers extended through the opening, is pulled by the string against the inside of the wall. With the plate then held in position by the adhesive and the tensile force on the string, holes are drilled in the marked positions through the anchor plate for receiving the attaching screws. If the fixture is double-ended, the procedure is repeated at its other end before screwing both its ends through the wall to the then hidden anchor plates.
