    • A structural webbing to be custom cut and fit to individual job sites, allowing for the reduction or elimination of traditional beams used in structural building. Webbing uses angular forces to bear loads, resulting in distributed loads not requiring thick beams. Elimination of beams allows for significant reduction in resource consumption and increase in thermal efficiency of structure. Webbing allows elimination of thermal shorts and increased space for insulating materials. Webbing consists of alternating nodes and members, wherein members are disposed at positive and negative angles to the nodes, creating a zig-zag pattern. Can be used in straight line for walls, window headers, doors, etc., or in curves or other more elaborate shapes for curved windows, etc. Suitable for load bearing walls, upper and lower floors. Nodes can be coupled with standard structural members such as king studs, head pieces, and top and bottom plates.

    • In building a house, it is necessary to arrange bearing walls and non-bearing walls in a well-balanced manner. However, in the case where a bearing wall is configured by fixing a plate-like body such as a bearing wall panel to the exterior-side face of a structural frame member formed by assembling horizontal members and pillar members into the shape of a square frame, the surface of the bearing wall panel protrudes from the face of the structural frame member on the exterior side by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the bearing wall panel. Thus, the exterior-side face of the bearing wall in which the bearing wall panel is provided is not flush with the exterior-side face of the non-bearing wall in which the bearing wall panel is not provided, and so there is a step. Accordingly, processing of the base during attachment of an exterior building material has been necessary. Furthermore, there has been a problem that in the case where the condition of the framework is to be inspected after building, the inspection cannot be performed unless the bearing wall panel is removed.Receiving members are fixed to inner side faces enclosed by structural members including pillars, studs, and horizontal members, of a building so as to allow a face of a bearing wall panel on the exterior side to be flush with faces of the structural members on the exterior side and a face of an adjacent non-bearing wall on the exterior side.

    • The invention relates to exterior wall and roof constructions wherein a space is provided between an outer sheathing layer and the underlying structure for passage of air to assist in heating, cooling and ventilating functions. Perforated channel members are installed in the area at which air enters and/or leaves the vented space, permitting free flow of air while preventing entry of insects, rodents, or other foreign materials into the space. Means may be optionally provided for blocking off air flow through the vent space when desired to assist in heating and cooling functions. Plenums and ductwork may be provided for recirculation of air from the vented spaces to other portions of the structure. In one embodiment, a vented roof structure is provided which may advantageously be employed in conjunction with an interior, cathedral-type ceiling. An angle bracket useful in both marking roof rafter members for cutting and in assembly thereof is also disclosed.
