摘要： A device for producing a fibrous web, in particular a tissue web, includes a first press having a first felt and a second felt, both of which are guided through a press nip of the first press. A Yankee cylinder dries the fibrous web and a transfer press transfers the fibrous web to the Yankee cylinder. The second felt is also guided through a press nip of the transfer press. A paper-contacting side of the second felt is formed of a nonwoven layer which includes at least 80 wt. %, in particular at least 90 wt. % of nonwoven fibers formed of polyamide or polyamides and having a fineness of 6.7 dtex or less, in particular 3.3 dtex or less. An associated method for producing a fibrous web, in particular a tissue web, is also provided.

An elastic intermediate yarn assembly with parallel and regularly spaced CD yarns, each bonded to an elastic carrier material, is formed as a continuous unbroken tube structure, and is “socked” between the inner and outer base fabric layers. The elastic intermediate yarn assembly has an MD length that is from 1% to 10% less than the MD length of the press felt prior to assembly and is elastically stretched during assembly between the inner and outer base fabric layers. At least one batt layer needled through the inner and outer base fabric layers and the elastic intermediate yarn assembly to fornt he press felt.

摘要： A process of determining features of a fabric. A representation of a portion of a surface of the fabric is formed showing locations and sizes of knuckles and pockets in the fabric surface. The representation is a print or a photograph of the fabric surface. An image is generated based on the representation. At least a portion of the image is displayed on a computer screen. The sizes and locations of the knuckles or pockets is determined. A unit cell is drawn for the portion of the fabric surface in the image. The unit cell is defined by guidelines that (i) pass through the centers of the knuckles and (ii) form shapes that surround areas of the image that correspond to where the pockets are formed between the knuckles. A fabric planar volumetric index is calculated based on properties of the unit cell formed by the guidelines.

摘要： Nonwoven double layer industrial textiles comprising a plurality of interconnected selectively slit and profiled folded panels formed from suitable sheet or film materials. Each panel includes two fold regions having an array of slots and seaming loops. The folded panel is formed by folding each fold region toward the panel body, thereby providing seam loops and seam loop receiving openings, which are used to connect adjacent folded panels in a given layer of the textile. Two such layers are bonded together in overlapping relation such that outside free edges of any of the fold regions are returned and sealed interior to the double layer. Further panels composed of heat or wear resistant material can be connected to lateral outside edges of panels forming the textile.

A representation is formed of a portion of a surface of the woven fabric to provide a fabric representation showing at least one of (i) at least one of locations and sizes of knuckles that are a part of the surface of the fabric and (ii) at least one of locations and sizes of pockets that are formed in areas between the knuckles. Particular knuckles are identified that surround a particular pocket. A path is determined in the fabric representation that passes from a first of the knuckles across the particular pocket to a second of the knuckles. The fabric is scanned using a measurement device along a line that corresponds to the determined path. A depth of the particular pocket is determined, to which cellulosic fibers can penetrate in a papermaking process, based on the scan.
