摘要： A substrate is mountable on a lacrosse stick head to form a pocket. The head has a throat attached to a shaft, a ball stop attached to the throat, a scoop distal to the throat, and sidewalls extending between the ball stop and the scoop. The substrate includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion is positioned proximate to the scoop and the bottom portion is positioned between the top and the ball stop. The top and bottom portions include yarn knit to form the substrate. A method of making the substrate includes casting the yarn onto a needle, knitting the top and bottom portions, casting the yarn off the needle, tying off the yarn and attaching the substrate to the head.

摘要： A removable support surface has knitted loops of yarn, and has piles extending from the knitted yarn to form an artificial turf, or to form a hybrid turf when combined with natural grass which grows between the knitted yarn. The piles may be hollow to retain liquid, and the dimensions of the yarn and the piles may be adjusted during fabrication. The removable support surface is fabricated by warp knitting, and the piles may be bent to have a crimped configuration. When used in a bunker with sand, the crimped configuration prevents sand from migrating. The removable support surface may also be placed on a seeded mat, on a dirt layer, or on existing natural grass. The removable support surface may be composed of biodegradable material.

摘要： A knitted netting for wrapping an object is provided. When wrapping the object the knitted netting may have an indicated target elongation. The knitted netting includes first longitudinal franzes, first lateral schusses, at least two second longitudinal franzes, and at least one second lateral schuss. The schusses are knitted with the franzes to form the knitted netting. The first longitudinal franzes and the first lateral schusses are configured such that the spacing of the first longitudinal franzes decreases by less than 10% when elongating the knitted netting by 50% of the target elongation, the target elongation being from 15% to 300% of the length of the knitted netting. The second lateral schuss is an indicator schuss. The second longitudinal franzes are indicator franzes. The indicator schuss is knitted with the indicator franzes to form an elongation indicator for indicating the amount of longitudinal stretching of the knitted netting. The elongation indicator is configured such that the spacing of the indicator franzes decreases by more than 10% when elongating the knitted netting by 50% of the target elongation. Further, a method of determining the longitudinal elongation of such a knitted netting with respect to a target elongation is provided.
