摘要： The present disclosure provides an electrode for an electrolysis device, which allows performance of a catalyst to be efficiently exhibited in an electrochemical reaction of reducing an electrolysis reactant to generate an electrolysis product material. Specifically, a carbon fiber that has a structure in which the carbon fiber contains a part of and/or a whole of a catalyst particle is used as a cathode electrode to greatly improve adherence force of the catalyst particle and enable efficient generation of an electrolysis product material.

The first electrode plate and the second electrode plate can include resin-impregnated monolithic graphite plates. The first electrode plate and the second electrode plate can form opposite internal walls of a chamber for the electrolytic reaction and thus can be provided without a container for containing the electrode plates. Methods are also provided for flow-through-resin-impregnating porous, monolithic graphite plates to form electrode plates.

摘要： There is provided a method and apparatus for impregnating carbon articles with hot impregnating medium in a closed autoclave whereby the articles to be impregnated are introduced into the autoclave which is then closed and heated by means of a heat exchanger to the impregnating temperature at which point the impregnating medium is introduced to fill the autoclave and then pressurized to impregnate the articles. Subsequent to impregnation, the impregnating medium is removed from the autoclave and the closed or sealed autoclave and the impregnated articles are cooled to a temperature below a predetermined "lower limit temperature" and the articles are then removed from the autoclave. The "lower limit temperature" is chosen to eliminate the emission of harmful off-gases.
