    • A sound producing liquid dispenser has a structure sized and configured to seal an opening in a container, a liquid outlet opening for dispensing liquid from the container, a separate air passageway allowing air to flow between the interior and exterior of the container, and a sound producing mechanism located in proximity to the air passageway. A contoured outer housing covering all or parts of the pour spout, the air introduction tube and the sound producing mechanism may be provided. Various types of sound producing mechanisms are useful, including mechanisms having curved, perforated plates. In particular embodiments, the sound produced during or following a pouring operation sounds like birdsong, and in some embodiments, a contoured outer housing is provided in the form of a bird.

    • The closure device may be used to seal bottles or other liquid containers, while avoiding contamination by 2,4,6-Trichloroanisole (TCA). The closure device may include a sleeve that is inserted into the neck of a bottle. A stopper may be inserted into the sleeve to seal the bottle. To prevent TCA contamination, the stopper may include a stopper cap made of a TCA scavenger material, providing a barrier between the stopper and the contents of the bottle. A filter may be added to remove particulates and impurities from the contents when poured from the unstoppered bottle. Various types and shapes of filters may be used, and the filter may include a spring or other movement assistance or a ventilation mechanism. In some embodiments, the sleeve may be removably attached to the bottle, such as by interfacing threading, or to the filter, such as by frangible connectors.

At least two diametrically opposed second fastening members are positioned on or in an interior surface of the sidewall. Each second fastening member engages at least a portion of one of the first fastening members of the container when the device is mounted onto the container.

    • A cup lid for use with a drinking cup containing a liquid, the drinking cup having a base and a sidewall extending upwardly from the base, the sidewall including an inner surface, a top end, and a rim extending along the circumference of the top end. The cup lid comprises a first part lying in a first plane and having a top surface and a center axis, means on said first part for releasably mounting the first part to the top end of the cup to form a substantially liquid tight seal between the cup lid and the cup, a second part depending radially outwardly from the first part and lying in a second plane, the second part having means for movement relative to the first part, compartment means between the cup and the cup lid for bifurcating the liquid in the cup into one portion and a second portion, the one portion comprising means for facilitating the flow of liquid into the compartment means and the second portion for facilitating the flow of liquid out of the compartment means, the first part and the second part further comprise aperture means for permitting the liquid contained in said one portion to flow out of the compartment means and out of the drinking cup. The second part comprises baffle means for substantially shielding the liquid in the one portion from substantial interference with the liquid in the second portion during any lateral movement of the cup whereby any spillage of the liquid out of the cup is substantially minimized.

    • A removably attachable automatic squeeze bottle utilization cycle counting device comprises a squeeze bottle, a nozzle, a removable nozzle cap for isolating the nozzle from the outside environment and a hinged mechanism which attaches onto the squeeze bottle and nozzle in a removable manner. This mechanism locates the nozzle cap relative to the nozzle and indicates the number of times the nozzle cap has been removed or replaced in a given cycle. The mechanism comprises upper and lower clips for removably attaching the mechanism to the bottle and nozzle cap, a rotatable part, a set of symbols, an indicator and mechanical means for indexing the rotatable part. Each time the nozzle cap is removed, or each time it is replaced, the rotatable part is automatically indexed to the next sequential position. This arrangement allows tracking of compliance with a prescribed regimen which includes using the contents of the squeeze bottle, while decreasing the risk of digital microbial contamination of the nozzle and the contents of the bottle.
