摘要： A light emitting electrical connector is disclosed that includes an electrical circuit, which is secured to a housing of the electrical connector, having a light emitting source and a resistor. In a preferred embodiment, the housing includes a terminal connecting portion for providing electrical power to the electrical circuit, which is molded to the housing of the electrical connector. Preferably, the electrical circuit includes a light emitting diode as the light emitting source. The housing further includes a mounting structure for securing the housing to a surface. In a most preferred embodiment, the mounting structure comprises at least two snap fit tabs for mounting the electrical connector to the surface.

摘要： A cigarette lighter with a built-in battery checker for use in automobiles which comprises two parts, one being a heater part in which a movable body provided with a heater at the tip of a push nob is mounted slidably in reciprocal front and rear directions to a holder and the other being a basal part into which the heater part is detachably inserted in such manner that when the push nob is pushed to bring the heater into contact with an electrode plate connected to a battery, the heater can be heated by electric current sent from the battery so as to enable the heater part to be pulled out from the basal part, characterized in that the push nob is provided inside with a variable illumination means in which brightness of the illumination is diminished according to increase in the degree of consumption of the battery and a standard illumination means for comparison in brightness with the variable illumination means. The cigarette lighter of this type is used in automobiles for dual purposes of the inherent cigarette lighter and a battery checker capable of visibly indicating consumption of battery by differential illuminations.

摘要： A cigar lighter assemblage for mounting through an opening of a vehicle dashboard from the front thereof, including a tubular socket having an opening for receiving an ignitor plug, a light-conducting bushing surrounding the socket and constituting a bezel therefor, and a lamp-holder carried by the bushing. There are cooperable structures on the bushing and holder for slidably mounting the latter on the bushing, and enabling it to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The lamp holder has a projection for engagement with the panel, which functions to shift the holder from its extended position to its retracted position as the bushing is being frontally inserted in the panel. An especially simple arrangement results, characterized by both manufacturing economy and ease of assembly.

摘要： An illuminating device for a cigar lighter, such as used in an automobile, includes an axially extending ring formed of a light-transmitting material which is mountable in the automobile dashboard and a housing containing a lamp for providing indirect illumination of the ring. An extension projects rearwardly from the rear end of the ring. The extension has laterally spaced ribs extending in the axial direction of the ring with a slot through the extension traversing the front ends of the ribs. The slot, in combination with the ribs, effects a division of the extension into two light conductors. The ribs interconnect the lamp housing to the ring and light flows into the ribs and through the two light conductors into the ring.

A continuous insulated, metallic strip is attached to the underside of the tray for electrically interconnecting the light bulbs to the electrical system of the vehicle and to facilitate assembly. At least one plexiglass light piping member is positioned at the periphery of the cutout and at least one light bulb is adjacent thereto, which transmits and disperses the light from the bulb throughout the change receptacle.

摘要： This invention relates to cigar lighters of the removable igniting unit type. According to this invention the core of the knob mounted on the igniting unit is made of a material having the property of piping light. A lamp housing is mounted on the sleeve of the holding device over a side wall opening thereof. An electric lamp in said housing produces light to pass into the interiors of the shell as well as the core of the knob whereby the front of the knob is illuminated clearly in the dark when the igniting unit is in place on the holding device and the interior of the shell is well illuminated when the igniting unit is removed. Therefore, by the provision of the present improved illuminating means, a much increased degree of safety is provided for the driver who travels at high speed at night to obtain a light for his cigarette without slowing down.
