摘要： An electric wheelchair with quick-release drive wheels includes: a chassis, and two guide wheels and two said drive wheels. The drive wheels are rotated by a drive mechanism and connected to the drive mechanism by a quick-release mechanism. To detach the drive wheel, the user can press the cover to make the rolling balls move out of the receiving groove and back to the arc-shaped engaging portion, which allows the hollow shaft to disengage from the drive shaft. Then, keeping pressing the cover can detach the drive wheel from the drive mechanism. To assemble the drive wheel, the user can press the hollow shaft into the axial hole to make the rolling balls engage in the receiving groove, so that the drive wheel is assembled to the drive mechanism. The assembly and disassembly of the drive wheel require no wrenches or other tools, and therefore are very convenient.

The wheel has an axial center hole (8) passing therethrough to receive the rotation shaft. A circumferential series of elastic laminas (11) are provided on the wheel to extend into the axial hole at an extremity of the axial hole. The blocking device has an axially extending first portion (14), a head portion (16), and a second portion (15). The blocking device is fitted with the rotation shaft prior to reception of the rotational shaft by the wheel. The blocking device terminal head portion is engaged by the elastic laminas of the wheel after reception of the rotational shaft and blocking device by the wheel.

摘要： A vehicle propelling assembly to propel a vehicle in a given direction comprises a pair of propelling members (19a, 19b) each having a body portion (20a, 20b) which rotates about a rotation axis extending substantially at right angles to the direction of travel of the vehicle. Body portions (20a, 20b) extend along a plane which is substantially in alignment with the rotation axis and include a curved ground or fluid engageable portion (22a, 22b). The vehicle propelling members (19a, 19b) can be mounted to ends of an axle assembly (15) which can be secured to a vehicle through a coupling assembly comprising a ball and socket assembly (25) and connecting struts (30, 31), which are pivotally connected at one end to axle assembly (15) and at the other end to a connecting member (32) which itself is pivotally mounted for movement about a vertical axis. The coupling arrangement accommodates the various forces acting on the axle assembly upon rotation of the propelling members. The assembly can be used as a substitute for vehicle land wheels and provides increased adhesion to a ground surface. The assembly can also be used in marine applications and will also allow a vehicle to move over soft ground surfaces such as snow, mud of soft sand.
