摘要： A self-supported, free standing, demountable, printing/endorsing apparatus including a demountably removable, replaceable, adjustable printing module having ribbon transporting and re-inking means integral therewith. Solenoid actuated means operably, drivingly connected to an impact member for impact engagement with the demountable printing member enabling the device to print on an item. Secondary impression producing means is demountably carried by the printing means and is adjustable relative to the impact member and together with the impact member forms an item receiving pathway normal to the impact member through which the item is transported. The impact member is Gimbal mounted relative to the pathway effectively enabling printing without regard to the flatness of the subject matter of the item, and without the prior art high impact forces generally employed.

摘要： A number printing machine for use with an offset printing press in which, with only a single numbering device, both a present and a successive number printing operation in which a desired number is printed a desired number of times can be carried out. Either of the two printing modes of operation can be selected by one action. A counter is provided which counts the number of times of printing of a number up to a value set on a dial unit. Once the preset value has been reached, a solenoid is actuated in response to which the number to be printed is changed to the next succeeding number.

摘要： A printing apparatus including a plurality of movable flexible endless belts incorporated in a plate drum which are aligned side by side, each of the endless belts being provided with spaced printing type on its outer peripheral surface and arranged side by side in at least on row within the plate drum. The endless belt has power transmitting means including an electromagnetic clutch which is coupled to a slip ring segment for feeding current to the clutch. A plurality of slip ring segments are arranged on substantially concentric circular lines. Every time each of the belts is displaced by a distance corresponding to one spacing between adjacent type, the displacement is detected as an electric pulse by a detecting means. A selected type can be brought to a specified position by the use of means for selectively determining the duration of energization of the electromagnetic clutch based on the detection effected as above. The transmitting means is driven by the electromagnetic clutch to automatically advance the endless belt by an amount required for the desired type-setting, and the electromagnetic clutch is engaged for the period of time specified by the duration determining means.
