    • A clamping assembly for an injection moulding installation includes a rigid, elongated positioning structure and an elongated clamping structure. A fixed platen is rigidly coupled to the positioning structure and articulatedly coupled to a first end portion of the clamping structure. Longitudinal, axially directed sliding bearings are formed integrally with the positioning structure. The assembly further includes a movable platen slidably supported on the bearings for a free, axially directed displacement with respect to the positioning structure towards and away from the fixed platen. A platen drive unit is articulatedly coupled to a second and opposite end portion of the clamping structure and to the movable platen for imparting that displacement to the movable platen.

    • A resin molding apparatus includes a fixing member to which a top mold is attached, a movable member to which a bottom mold is attached, a push-up member provided below the movable member, a drive mechanism moving the push-up member in upward/downward direction, and a flexible joint provided between the movable member and the push-up member. The push-up force of the drive mechanism is transmitted from the push-up member via the flexible joint to the movable member. Thus, a crack does not occur at a connection portion between the push-up member and the movable member. Therefore, a gap is not created between the top mold and the bottom mold. As a result, an excellent molded product is formed.

    • An injection molding machine for processing plastifiable materials includes a positioning element, a stationary mold carrier fixedly connected therewith, a movable mold carrier defining a mold tentering space with the stationary mold carrier, a closing device for shifting the movable mold carrier in a closing direction into a closed position with the stationary mold carrier, a supporting element for the closing device movably carried by the positioning element, and a clamping unit jointed to the stationary mold carrier and the supporting element at coupling points and adapted to essentially take up occurring forces and deformations and to deviate them around said mold tentering space. The clamping unit is formed of several pieces jointed to the stationary mold carrier or the supporting element at the coupling points and are coupled with each other at at least one first connecting point spaced from the coupling points.

    • A molding machine for die casting, injection molding, and other similar processes, comprises a base shaped to support thereon a two-part die, and a ram for converging and diverging the die halves between open and closed positions. A pair of clamping frames are pivotally mounted on one end of the base, and include a closed border shaped to surround or receive therein side portions of the die halves. The clamping frames are laterally pivoted between a fanned-apart or open position wherein the die can be freely lifted off of the base, and a folded or closed position wherein the frame borders surround the die side portions and capture the same between the ends of the frames. In the closed position, retractable compression columns extend between the die and one end of the frames to positively lock the die halves in the closed position, whereby die separation forces developed during injection of the die are resisted substantially solely by the clamping frames.
