    • An emanation system is described comprising and emanation device and a replaceable refill of liquid, wherein the refill comprises: a sealed reservoir of a liquid containing one or more active materials wherein the active material comprises at least ona of: a fragrance; an insecticide; a fungicide; a pesticide; a sanitizing material; and/or a pharmaceutical; a porous wick having a length which extends from the interior of the reservoir to the exterior thereof; a reservoir seal having at least one aperture through which the porous wick extends; and a hollow liquid conduit housed within the wick having a length substantially identical to the wick; and wherein tha device comprises: an air pump; a fluid conduit In fluid communication with tha air pump such that, in use, air pumped by the pump will flow through the fluid conduit; a nozzle located at the end of the fluid conduit remote from tha air pump; a elector constriction provided in the fluid conduit adjacent or substantially adjacent the nozzle; a liquid conduit engaging member provided adjacent the ejector constriction and in fluid communication with the fluid conduit at one end thereof, and configured at the other end to, In use, engage the hollow liquid conduit in the refill.

    • A method of texturing a wall or ceiling with non-acoustical joint compound by providing a collapsible bag having an opening at its top and is adapted to contain non-acoustical joint compound for forming a textured coating on the wall or ceiling and providing a spray nozzle having a low pressure input port, a joint compound suction port attached to the opening at the top of the collapsible bag, and an output port for spraying the non-acoustical joint compound. A low pressure stream of air from an air gun attached to the low pressure input port urges a small quantity of the non-acoustical joint compound to be sprayed out of the spray nozzle when the bottom of the collapsible disposable bag is raised above its top to either allow or force the joint compound to flow into the suction port and into the interior of the spray nozzle.

    • Spraying apparatus is provided which employs a porous member through which a liquid is forced and is caused to be disspelled from a surface thereof as a spray or atomized particles. In one form, liquid is forced from a first chamber through a porous wall or plug to the outer surface thereof by applying pressure directly to the liquid and, upon emerging on said outer surface, one or more jets of high velocity gas are directed against said outer surface to lift and atomize the liquid and direct same as a spray into the surrounding atmosphere. In another form, liquid is admitted to a chamber having a porous wall portion and one or more jets of high-velocity gas are directed from the exterior of said chamber through the porous wall portion, into the liquid therein and through a second portion of the wall of the chamber which is also porous. The gas acts to force liquid in the chamber through the second portion of the wall thereof and beyond the chamber as an atomized spray. The apparatus is particularly applicable for atomizing, and in certain instances, vaporizing liquid introduced over a substantially large surface area without the need for precisely machined nozzled devices.
