The pipette auxiliary system according to the invention supports the manual pipetting or dispensing of a plurality of samples in a working position of a sample-holding arrangement, the pipette auxiliary system comprising: a base apparatus comprising a positioning device which is designed to position the sample-holding arrangement in the working position inside a positioning space of the base apparatus, said positioning space being opened at least along a plane for the pipetting; the sample-holding arrangement which has a plurality of sample holders; a measurement arrangement comprising a plurality of measurement elements which are positioned at least in the working position underneath this plane and using which the occupancy state of at least one sample holder can be detected in the working position; and an output device or a light arrangement using which the sample-holding arrangement can be illuminated in accordance with this occupancy state of this at least one sample holder.

摘要： A labware aligning system for use with a labware includes a frame and fixation system. The frame includes a seat. The fixation system includes a pusher and a pusher actuator. The pusher is movable relative to the frame between an open position and a closed position. The pusher actuator includes an actuator linkage and a biasing mechanism. The actuator linkage is configured to: move the pusher from the closed position toward the open position when the actuator linkage is displaced; and, permit the pusher to move toward the closed position when the actuator linkage is not displaced. The biasing mechanism is operative to force the pusher toward the closed position when the actuator linkage is not displaced and to thereby cause the pusher to align the labware in the seat.

摘要： Techniques are described for automated microinjection of substances, such as genetic material, into single cells in tissue samples. An example system comprises a robotic manipulator apparatus configured to hold and position a micropipette. Furthermore, the system comprises a microscope camera positioned to observe an injection site. A computing device receives image data from a microscope camera of the system, where the image data represents an image of a tissue sample. The computing device receives, via a user interface, an indication of a line traced by a user on the image of a tissue sample. In response, the computing device controls the robotic manipulator apparatus to move a tip of the micropipette along a path defined by the trajectory line. The pressure controller injects a gas into the micropipette to eject a substance out of the micropipette at one or more points along the path defined by the trajectory line.

摘要： A pipetting device (2) for removing fluid from a sample vessel (52) includes a pipetting needle (4) and an auxiliary cannula (18) for piercing a septum, designed to guide the pipetting needle axially through the auxiliary cannula. The pipetting device has a guide arm (6), on the lower end (10) of which is arranged an end plate (12) that is axially displaceable along the guide arm against a resilient resistance. A centering device (14) inserts into the end plate of the guide arm, and at least three centering fingers (26) with conical bevels (34) are constructed on the radial outside of the centering device, distributed around the circumference thereof, and forming a holding-down device for the sample vessel. The disclosed construction makes possible to reliably pierce the septum of a sample vessel and to easily pull the pipetting needle out of the septum again even with thin pipetting needles.

With greater particularity, disclosed is a novel device and method for uniform cellular manipulation with economies of scale and operational uniformity. The device and related method utilize a cellular wounder (101) to uniformly remove portions of a cell monolayer in a multi-well plate (303) to create uniform cell samples with reduced time and expense to the user. The multi-channel mechanical wounder is a useful tool for performing cellular wounding by providing consistent and even denudation of a defined area of monolayer of cells in standard culture plates. This easy-to-assemble and user friendly device is most applicable for high throughput screening of samples such as in the manipulation of cells for cell migration or wound healing assay preparation.
