    • An agitator for use on an agitator shaft having an axis of rotation. The agitator has a blade mount configured and dimensioned to receive the agitator shaft and being further configured and dimensioned so as to hold a plurality of agitator blades radially with respect to the axis of rotation. Each agitator blade has a plurality of segments, including an upper segment relative to the axis of rotation and a lower segment relative to the axis of rotation. The segments are inclined at an acute angle relative to the axis of rotation in the direction of rotation, wherein the acute angle changes continuously or stepwise from about 25° at the upper segment to about 65° at the lower segment.

    • Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a stirrer tool that includes a head component having a first plurality of projections extending substantially radially out from and substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of a body portion. Head component may also have a second plurality of projections extending in a substantially distal direction away from a distal end of the body portion, and all of the projections may be made of a substantially stiff material that is flexible enough to be bent to fit through an opening in a container that is smaller in diameter than a diameter of the head component and stiff enough to mix viscous products. The projections may further be capable of being shortened by cutting off a selected length of the projections. The first plurality of projections may be configured to create a vortex mixing action and the second plurality of projections may be configured to reach and stir up sediment on bottoms and in corners of containers. The system may further include an elongate shaft, which may be coaxially aligned with, and a distal end of the elongate shaft may be attached to the head component and the proximal end of the elongate shaft may be configured to be removably held in a device to rotate the elongate shaft.

    • A method of mixing two or more materials, at least one of which is supplied in packaged form comprises the steps of passing the packaged material to a processing unit while still in its packaging and then breaking open the packaging in the processing unit so that the material can escape therefrom. The materials can then be mixed in a mixing apparatus, with the broken down packaging subsequently being filtered from the mixed materials. In this way the material which is supplied in packaged form need not be handled directly. The filtered out packaging may be washed prior to disposal or recycling.

    • The invention involves a mixing apparatus capable of mixing two or more chemicals using a motive liquid. An ejector draws in a first chemical which is directed to the input of an eductor. A second chemical is connected directly to the eductor. The motive liquid provides the motive force for both the ejector and the eductor. By reason of the feeding of the first chemical to the eductor from the separate ejector rather than directly into the eductor, the ratio of the first chemical to the second chemical fed into the eductor is more accurately controlled than if both chemicals were directly fed to the eductor. The chemicals are mixed in the eductor and are discharged as a foam preferably through a foam nozzle.
