    • A solid-liquid separator using a roller system includes a casing, rollers disposed within the casing and each provided with a screen that is formed in an outer periphery thereof with plural pores, a supply device disposed outside the rollers for supplying into the casing under appropriate pressure a solid-liquid mixture to be separated into a solid component via the plural pores and a liquid component filtered inside, a casing wall disposed adjacent to the rollers after the solid-liquid mixture supplied with the supply device is passed through the rollers rotated, a discharge window formed in the casing wall for discharging the solid component, and a pressure application lid formed on the casing wall for stably applying prescribed pressure in a direction of closing the discharge window with a pressure application device. The liquid component is separated from the solid-liquid mixture by means of the rollers and the solid component is discharged from the discharge window on which pressure has been exerted by means of the pressure application lid.

Each filter disk is assembled from segments made of plastic and produced in one piece with coupling pieces as molded parts formed by the injection molding process, so that the axially aligned segments of the filter disks in the state in which they have been placed on the tube cylinders (17) form a continuous filtrate collecting line (23). This yields a design of the rotor system (2) which is structurally simple and permits inexpensive production.

    • A liquid extraction assembly for extracting liquid from a mass comprising a housing having an inlet and an outlet. The housing further includes a path between the inlet and the outlet. The housing is configured to have the mass forced into the inlet to move the mass from the inlet to the outlet. The housing includes two substantially parallel rotating screens rotating side by side and apart from one another, with the path extending between the screens. Each screen defines one wall of the path. Each rotating screen includes a plurality of non-circular openings located at the path. Pressure from mass forced into the input presses the mass against the non-circular openings of the rotating screens to thereby force at least a portion of liquid in the mass to pass through the non-circular openings of the rotating screens.

    • The invention concerns a belt filter apparatus including a first belt filter section on which a mixture of fine material and a liquid can be placed hydraulically to create partially dry fine material and a second belt filter section on which the partially dry fine material can be placed in order to undergo a second drying cycle. The belt filter apparatus also includes an arrangement for mechanically placing the partially dry fine material from the first belt filter section onto the second belt filter section as well as a liquid collection arrangement for providing fluid communication between the first and second belt filter sections and a vacuum for drying the fine material. The belt filter apparatus includes an agitator formation for increasing the permeability of the fine material to enhance the ability of the liquid to be released from the fine material and be collected by the liquid collection arrangement.
