摘要： A strip-shaped filter in the shape of a circular arc is arranged at a port opening portion of an oil passage, the port opening portion being in maximum proximity to a spool hole portion or a valve element, to prevent a contaminant in the oil passage from reaching the spool hole portion or the valve element. A groove portion is arranged to extend in a circumferential direction in a wall surface of the upper body which defines the spool hole portion. The port opening portion is defined in the groove portion, and is connected to the oil passage. The filter is housed in the groove portion to close the port opening portion defined in the groove portion.

The assembly includes at least one cylindrical body 11 of principal filter medium for removing particulates from oil. Body 11 has an inlet end and an outlet end. A secondary filter medium 20 for removing undissolved adhesive bodies from the oil is located around the sides and across the inlet end of the principle medium (11). A flow affording spacer 926) is disposed between the sides and the inlet end of the principal medium (11). A preferred spacer (26) is a non-woven expandible mesh present in a partially expanded state and having elements (27,28) grouped in first and second sets in which the elements (27) in the first set are laid atop the elements (28) in the second set. A readily cleanable containment vessel (39) for the filter element assembly (10) includes a tubular body (41) which is releasably connectible in liquid tight relation to a bottom cover (44) for the body (41).

摘要： Liquid filtration by means of a flow-through filter unit. An open-top housing is adapted to contain a removable filter cartridge having a center bore. Closing the housing with its cover effectively centers the cartridge and also seals both ends of the cartridge to keep unfiltered liquid from bypassing it. A concave baffle below the cartridge reorients the inflow of unfiltered liquid and defines a compartment from which the liquid flows to and enters both ends of the cartridge, flows therein and is filtered, flows radially to the center bore, and axially therefrom to an outlet for filtered liquid.

摘要： The specification discloses improvements in axial flow filters of the type having filter elements constructed of spirally wound tissue layers and having planar fluid entry and exit surfaces located at their opposite axial ends. Entry and exit filtration stages are provided in the form of annular webs of filter media covering the entry and exit surfaces the filter elements to provide additional filtration of fluid entering and exiting the elements. The filter media comprising the entry filtration stage is specially adapted for distributing the flow evenly across the entry surfaces of the filter element to minimize the formation of bypass flow channels between the tissue layers, and for plugging any bypass flow channels that form to effect a distribution of the flow to areas on the entry surfaces where bypass flow channels do not exist. The filter media comprising the exit filtration stage is maintained against the fluid exit surface and sealed thereto so that fluid passing out of the fluid exit surface cannot bypass the filter media.

摘要： The peripheral surface of a coil of a filter web wound about a hollow shaft is covered by a liquid impervious flexible coating, and the outer periphery of a first end of the coil is secured to a supporting disc so that when liquid to be filtered is caused to pass through the coil in the axial direction thereof, the convolutions of the coil near a second end expand radially outwardly to trap contaminants in the spiral gap. Purified liquid collected at the first end of the coil is discharged through the hollow shaft. The filter unit is constructed such that a number of units can be readily connected in series.
