    • A puzzle comprises a set of puzzle pieces and a mounting board for mounting the pieces. Each puzzle piece has an essentially planar body with a front surface, an opposing rear surface and a periphery. The front surface has first and second characteristic ornamentations on it. The first characteristic ornamentation provides the puzzle piece with unique individual value, particularly display value. The second characteristic ornamentation provides a portion of an overall pictorial image farmable from the set of puzzle pieces. Each piece is shaped to be placed adjacent to at least one other piece of the set so that when all of the set pieces are placed in a unique spatial arrangement, the overall pictorial image is formed. The rear surface is provided with a means for fastening the piece to an article, allowing individual or set display. The fastening means can include a pin, a strip of adhesive material, a strip of magnetic material or the like. The periphery of the pieces may be shaped so as to interlock with adjacent pieces when the pieces are in the unique spatial arrangement.

    • A three-dimensional word game apparatus which includes a cubical solid defining six playing surfaces. Paper pieces or covers having game diagrams and indicia formed thereon are adapted to be positioned upon and to cover the six faces of the cubical solid. The paper pieces or covers may take any of a variety of different shapes and embodiments. One such preferred embodiment has three each of the playing surfaces or areas formed on two substantially rectangular pieces of paper. The three playing surfaces are arranged in an end-to-end fashion, and each piece of paper includes tabs and marking indicia for facilitating attachment of the pieces of paper to one another and to the cubical solid. This embodiment of paper cover facilitates provision of same in a pad-like form. The individual pieces of paper may be mounted to the cubical solid with the aid of an adhesive or retainer clips, and have playing areas and squares adapted to be written or otherwise marked in by the game players.

    • A set of different metal and rope components can be used by groups or individuals to match a pre-determined pattern. A game operator can provide the individual or team with individual assembly components and a pre-determined pattern diagram. The team is then required to configure the different available components so as to match the diagram. In one embodiment of the present invention, the diagram is provided in black-and-white and the assembly components are in color. In one embodiment, a game is provided whereby a team uses trial and error to first build the assembly of pieces to match the diagram. Next, the team must plan and rehearse a strategy for quickly re-assembling the pieces to match the diagram while being timed by a clock. The process in accordance with the present invention is self-checking in that there is only one unique solution to the pre-determined assembly.

    • A card vault for attachment to an automatic card shuffling machine, card shoe, card verifying machine and card discard rack is disclosed. The card vault facilitates a system of reducing human handling of cards thereby reducing human error and cheating. Cards may be transferred in a card vault directly from the card verifying machine to an automatic card shuffling machine. After being dealt during one or more table games, the cards are placed in a discard rack and transferred to the card vault for transport to a card verifying machine where the deck is verified. The card vault and contained cards are tracked in substantially real-time using wireless technology such as a RFID transmitter and receiver.
