摘要： A novel security tether includes an intermediate flexible substrate, a first loop, and a second loop. The first loop is fixed to a first end of the intermediate flexible substrate and is switchable between a closed position and an open position. The first loop further includes a lock to retain the first loop in the closed position when engaged. The second loop is a fixed, closed loop that is coupled to a second end of the intermediate flexible substrate and is configured to allow the first loop to pass therethrough to create a secondary loop to encircle an anchor object. The first loop can be closed around an object to be secured, thereby securing the object to be secured to the anchor object when the lock is engaged. The security tether is conveniently portable and particularly useful for securing skis to an anchor object.

Locking strap 13 is integrally attached to outer wrapping strap 11 and provides a mechanism for locking the outer wrapping strap around a pair of skis 1 and ski poles 2 in a wrapped position and further securing the outer wrapping strap to a stationary object 13. Pocket 15 is attached to outer wrapping strap 11 and provided to harbor locking strap 13 when in an unused state. A separate sealing means is provided on the upper edge of pocket 15 to seal the locking strap within pocket 15.

An adjusting member neutralizes the blocking of the clamping element in an open position, achieved by mounting the clamping element, on its side remote from the cable, with play in an elongated-hole-like aperture. A sliding element is inserted behind the clamping element in a guide running transversely to the aperture. The sliding element is linked to the adjusting member through a connecting piece. The sliding element is located behind the clamping element in an initial and locking position and is displaced laterally by the rotated adjusting member and the connecting piece in an open position and the play in the aperture is released.

摘要： The present lock construction, for securing a movable object to a fixed object, includes a housing having an interior cavity and an elongated member having a first portion secured within the housing and a second portion slidably received within the housing. The elongated member is slidable within the passageway to a locked position, securing the movable object to the fixed position and to an unlocked position, releasing the object from the fixed object. First and second members are slidably disposed in the housing and are movable to engage the cable in the locked position. A rotatable locking mechanism is disposed within said housing and is engageable with the first member to permit slidable movement of the first member and thereby allow slidable movement of the elongated member to different locked positions. The rotatable locking mechanism is also engageable with the second member to permit slidable movement of the second member and thereby prevent movement of said elongated member in the locked position.
