摘要： The invention relates to a wound treatment device with at least one elastically deformable vacuum-generating element which can be actuated directly by hand and which is arranged on and connected directly to a film-like wound-covering element that covers the wound chamber. The vacuum-generating element is a hollow body whose cavity, in the state with the device applied to the patient's body, communicates directly with the wound chamber via an opening formed on the wound-covering element. At least one absorption body that absorbs the wound secretions is positioned in the wound chamber and is surrounded by a finely porous sleeve that is permeable to liquid. The hollow body is provided with at least one valve.

The secondary dressing applies pressure to the primary dressing so as to maintain the primary dressing in place over the region of compromised skin and promote the flow of fluid from the region of compromised skin into the fluid-absorbing material, and allows moisture in the fluid to evaporate from the fluid-absorbing material. Under another aspect, a dressing includes a fabric layer sized to cover a region of compromised skin; a foam layer secured to the fabric layer and having an aperture defined therein sized to cover the region of compromised skin; and a biocompatible adhesive layer disposed on the foam layer. Methods of applying the dressing also are provided.

摘要： A wound shield to manage repetitive access stress may include a conformable substrate to circumscribe a wound. Any suitable dressing may be secured to the conformable substrate providing separation between the wound and the dressing. The wound substrate may provide a site for attachment of adhesive dressings to shield the patient's skin from the pain of repetitive access and or removal of the dressings. A conformable substrate may be composed of one or more layers of any suitable material and may include adhesive on one or more surfaces to secure the substrate to the wound site and or to secure the dressing to the conformable substrate. A wound substrate may include strong adhesive to secure the substrate to the patients skin. The conformable wound substrate will be formed of any suitable non-absorbent material to permit long term application adjacent a wound. Thus many dressings may be applied and removed from a single wound substrate shielding the patient's skin from repetitive insult. A wound substrate according to the present disclosure may also be combined with a conformable frame to provide exudate management and or pressure distribution around a wound.

The device includes a flexible foam, a treatment suitable for treating the wound placed in relative proximity to the foam, and a flexible fabric with recoverable properties substantially circumferencing the wound and the treated foam. The flexible fabric maintains the treated foam in substantial proximity to the wound to allow the treatment to treat the wound. A bandage suitable for treating wounds on an exterior limb is disclosed. The bandage includes a butterfly shaped flexible fabric, at least one Hook and loop material type fastener attachment located on the edge of the butterfly shaped flexible fabric, at least two foam layers located axially in the center of the butterfly shaped flexible fabric, and a medication suitable for treating the wound proximately located with respect to at least a first of the at least two foam layers. The butterfly shaped flexible fabric is suitable to be wrapped around the limb and fastened using the at least one Hook and loop material type fastener attachment, and the wrapped fabric maintains the at least two foam layers in proximate location with the wound such that the medication is located appropriately with the wound to provide treatment.

The wound dressing garment includes a wearable garment including a portion having a hole configured to receive a wound dressing therein in combination with the wound dressing. The wound dressing includes a border connecting the wound dressing to the wearable garment where the border extends around the perimeter of the hole to locate the wound dressing therein. The wound dressing may include one or more additional layers including a hydrogel layer. A method for treating wound or preventing bed sores using the wound dressing garment is also provided.
