摘要： A spinal fusion system for positioning between two vertebral bodies is presented. The system can have a substantially rigid body and a substantially rigid plate connected to a portion of the posterior face of the substantially rigid body that extends away from and substantially transverse to the posterior face of the substantially rigid body. The system also has a first implant body and a second implant body configured to matingly connect to one another with at least a portion of the substantially rigid plate positioned therebetween. The combination of the first and second implant bodies and the substantially rigid plate is configured for insertion between the two vertebral bodies.

摘要： An acetabular cup includes a hemispheric acetabular shell designed to be set in a cotyloid cavity and a hemispheric insert made of biocompatible plastic material and designed to be engaged concentrically in the acetabular shell. An external base is provided with studs for anchoring in the cotyloid cavity bone and designed to receive the acetabular shell. An internal cup is designed to be placed in the acetabular cup opposite the external base and elements for linking the external base and the internal cup. The base and the cup define elements for adjusting the acetabular cup angular position in the cotyloid cavity according to the orientation to be given to the articulation while the elements linking the external base to the internal cup comprise elements for blocking the acetabular cup with respect to the external base after the acetabular cup angular position has been adjusted.

Two spaced apart exposed surface planes of an interlocked segment pair optionally are axially oriented at a small positive angle relative to each other, to approximate natural spine curvature. Segments in some embodiments have a curvilinear delta cross sectional shape and/or have crosshatched grooves in exposed surfaces. Many of the embodiments are useful in transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF).

摘要： A spinal bone graft includes one or more cortical bone portions forming a first unit. The first unit includes an engagement surface for contacting bone, and a mating surface. The mating surface forms at least one first undercut. The bone graft also includes one or more cortical bone portions forming a second unit. The second unit includes an engagement surface for contacting bone, and a mating surface. The mating surface forms either at least one second undercut, or at least one connector. In the former, at least one connector is received in each of the first and second undercuts to interconnect the first and second units. In the latter, the at least one connector of the second unit is received in the first undercut of the first unit to interconnect the first unit and second unit.

摘要： A spinal prosthesis (1) comprises hollow strut (2) terminated by a pair of end caps (10, 12) which are adapted to engage respective vertebrae. Each end cap (10, 12) may have a flange (20, 22) which is closely received within and supports a respective end (6, 8) of the strut (2). Alternatively, or in addition, each end cap (10, 12) may be substantially kidney shaped and may be provided with a kidney shaped recess (16, 18) which provides access to the interior of the strut (2). Preferably, the end caps (10, 12) are provided with respective shoulders (28, 30) which are adapted to cover the ends of the strut (2) to prevent the strut damaging soft tissue during implantation. A porous titanium plasma coating may be applied to the end caps (10, 12) to enhance bone fixation and to resist anterior translation and rotation of the prosthesis (1).
