    • A multi-function multi-use rag system and method integrating a variety of substantially planar sheets in a unitized application context is disclosed. The system/method physically integrates a stack of cleaning rags or other materials that may be of different types and have different functional characteristics. These rags are attached together at their outer periphery via sewing or other fastening means. A peripheral segment of the rag stack that is not attached to other layers may allow the stack to be everted to configure one set of a plurality of inner surfaces to form the outer surfaces of the rag stack system. Eversion of the rag stack thus permits formation of a number of different outer surface combinations that is equal to twice the number of stacked rags. Incorporation of internal stack barrier layers in some embodiments allows isolation of individual layers within the rag stack.

    • Disclosed is a scourer (10) which can be used along with a shape-supporting body. The scourer (10) includes a mesh body (2) having a sparse and/or dense mesh and being bendable or foldable, and the shape-supporting body (13) which is formed in a flat plate shape from synthetic resin or rubber and attached to a portion of a surface of the mesh body when used. The shape-supporting body (13) has a toothed portion (13b) made up of a plurality of tooth-like members (13bb) arranged along at least one edge portion (13a) of the shape-supporting body (13). The scourer (10) according to the present invention is convenient for removal of dirt stuck in deep, narrow recessed portions or the inside corners of a container.

    • Abrasive pads/scrubbers used for cleaning utensils and the like which usually involve rubbing of the pad along with some applied detergent/cleansing agent on the surface to be cleaned. More particularly, the invention is directed to an all purpose abrasive pad obtained of treated white coir which would be user friendly, durable with the loose fibers effectively interlocked and also having glossy, flexible, non-odour and tack free touch abrasive texture. Unlike the conventional synthetic fibers and metallic wool based abrasive pads, the treated white coir abrasive pad is found to be hygienic and free of any odour or be prone to microbes and advantageously durable maintaining its desired shape and texture even after repeated use and applications. The simple natural fibre based abrasive pads having effective lifespan and also safe and hygienic favoring handling conditions in various applications.
