摘要： An improved method and apparatus for producing a rolled snack piece using an extruder having typically a plurality of orifices through which an extrudate exits the extruder. Each of these orifices is spiral shaped. When a desired length of extrudate stream or rope protrudes from an orifice, it is cut at its base, thus producing individual snack pieces that appear to have been rolled after being sheeted.

摘要： A solid-foods dispenser receives a stick of solid edible material and dispenses the material in at least one ribbon of desired thickness. The solid-foods dispenser comprising an elongate housing having structural walls defining a chamber bounded by terminal ends wherein the chamber has an internal configuration generally corresponding to the configuration of the stick of material to be dispensed. A first closure is associated with a loading end of the dispenser and is adapted to be removingly engaged from the open terminal end of the housing. A second closure is positioned substantially adjacent the discharge end of the dispenser having a first portion of affixed to the housing and a second portion spaced from a bottom wall of the housing thus defining a discharge slot between second portion and said bottom wall of said chamber. A plunger is positioned in the housing and is movable from a position spaced from the second closure along the longitudinal axis of the dispenser to a position adjacent the second closure. The plunger has a mating face configured to mate with the internal face of the second closure. An advancing is associated with the first closure and is operable to move the plunger through the housing in the direction of the second closure.

摘要： A food processing device, comprising a bowl with a lid, the lid is provided with a food feed tube. The device also has a spiral cutting means provided at the top of the bowl such that as food enters the bowl via the food feed tube it is cut into continuous ribbons or strips. The spiral cutting means comprises a spiral cutter disc base having a disc-set with a plurality of different types of spiral cutting discs, each of which can be separately aligned with the food feed tube to cut the food into a different shaped continuous ribbon or strip. By rotating the spiral cutter disc base the user can line up a first cutting disc with the food feed tube, make some food cuts, then turn the spiral cutter disc base so that a second cutter disk is lined up with the feed tube and then make a different food cut. In this way the user can cut food into different sizes of ribbon, spaghetti, etc. to achieve a superior presentation of food (e.g. fruits and vegetables). The various cuts made possible with the device can also allow the user to be more creative in their food preparation and cooking.

The shaping apparatus is operated in such a manner that: when root and tuberous vegetable or fruit is placed in a cutting blade case and rotated, the object is spirally tracked and the spirally tracked object is removed from the lower side of the cutting blade case, so that the spirally tracked object is picked up by an additional stick and then ornamented into various forms.
