摘要： A cake cutter includes a handle having an L-shaped blade extending therefrom. The blade includes a first section axially extending from an end of the handle and a second section perpendicularly extending from a distal end of the first section. Integrally molded with a central portion of each blade section is a raised ridge that is positioned a predetermined distance from either end of the blade section. Accordingly, the user can cut a precisely sized slice of cake or casserole by aligning the ridges with an outer edge of a cake.

Each of the side edges is linear and includes a flanged portion extending at an acute angle upward from the planar top surface. The back edge includes a flanged portion extending upward at an acute angle from the planar top surface. The flanged portions extending along only a portion of the side edges, leaving the front portion of the base unflanged. The flange portions serve to confine the pizza slice on the base while enabling it to be introduced and slid off of the base from the front of the base.

摘要： A unitary metal pizza slice server has a triangular food support surface with a first handle portion projecting from its base and an overlying second handle portion resiliently joined at the distal end of the first portion to form a U-shape handle. The second handle portion terminates in a concave U-shaped food gripper facing the base of the triangular food support surface. The handle has a zone proximate the food support surface of a sufficient width and length in order to dissipate heat from a piping hot pizza slice on the food support surface so that the portion of the handle beyond this zone may be gripped by an unsheathed hand of a user. The handle is also sufficiently long to ensure sanitary serving of the pizza slice.

摘要： A scissor-like utensil for cutting and serving slices of cake and similar goods has a pair of planar blades and a pair of handles by means of which the blades can be manipulated. The handles are formed with longitudinal slots and overlain so that a connector can be fitted through the adjacent slots to join the handles. The connector defines a pivot connection which permits the blades to be moved between closed and open orientations suitable respectively for cutting and gripping a serving and for releasing the serving. In the closed orientation, forward edges of the blades are proximate and substantially parallel, defining essentially a V-shaped structure corresponding to the shape of the serving to be cut, and a predetermined angle is formed between the blades which essentially determines the size of the serving. The pivot connection can be displaced and locked at intervals along the handles in such a manner that the angle formed between the blades can be varied to adjust serving size while maintaining the proximate relationship between the forward edges of the blades in the closed orientation.
