A first gear is connected to a second gear by a first shaft, and a third gear is connected to a fourth gear by a second shaft. The legs can be selectively positioned to a retracted position adjacent to the body or to an extended position projecting away from the body. A biasing mechanism urges the four legs to the extended position. A locking mechanism locks the legs in either the retracted position or the extended position.

摘要： A foldable head restraint has two head restraint supports set within a bracket. A latch is made integral with at least one of the head restraint supports. The latch rests against a stop to prohibit rotation of the head restraint support in a first direction. The latch rests against a rotational cam to prohibit movement of the head restraint support in a second direction. By rotating the cam, the head restraint support may be folded. The head restraint support is comprised of a metal substrate with over-molded plastic geometry to accept a mating part configured within the head restraint bun. The geometry of the metal substrate and over-molded plastic geometry allow for a reduction, or even elimination, of the slots that are normally required for such a folding head restraint. This ability to fold can yield greater rearward visibility and aid in the kinematic motion of the seat. An articulating head restraint could also include an armature with a cam. The cam has a lock acumination and a stop acumination. The armature fits within a structure composed of a bracket and a slave bracket. A slide, which is attached to a cable, rides within a slot on the bracket. When the slide is in the locked position, the lock acumination of the cam presses against the slide, restraining movement of the slide. When sufficient force is applied to the cable, the slide moves within the slot to an unlocked position. A torsion spring wrapped around the armature causes the armature to rotate to a stowed position.

摘要： There is a demand for an automatic shampoo machine used in beauty solons and the like which dispenses with an all-purpose chair to be prepared separately and has a better appearance and an improved feeling of use.In an automatic shampoo machine 1, a seat 2 for seating a person to be shampooed thereon during shampooing and a basin 13 for receiving the person's head for the shampooing are supported by a common housing 3. The housing 3 accommodates and supports spout means 4 for spouting warm water automatically in the basin 13. Since the seat 2 is integrated in the automatic shampoo machine 1, the need for separately preparing a chair is obviated and the automatic shampoo machine 1 has an improved appearance. By using a space below the seat 2 effectively, functional components of the spout means 4 such as a warm water reservoir tank 45 are disposed in the space and the components can more flexibly be laid out. Aback-rest 8 of the seat 2 is arranged to incline so that the person's face is naturally oriented vertically upward, thereby alleviating a burden on the neck of the person. A seating portion 7 of the seat 2 is adjustable in height, thereby making it possible to properly position the person's neck in the basin 13, accommodating the variations in sitting height.

摘要： A shampoo chair for positioning its occupant comfortably for a shampoo at a shampoo bowl includes a base which rests on a floor in front of the shampoo bowl and has tracks, a carriage which moves along the tracks of the base, a fluid-operated cylinder which is mounted on the carriage, and a chair form which is supported on the cylinder and has a seat panel over which a seat cushion lies and a back panel to which a backrest is attached. The carriage gives the chair form horizontal movement toward and away from the shampoo bowl, while the cylinder elevates the chair form generally vertically. Between the two movements the chair form may be positioned to accommodate individuals of varying stature to the shampoo bowl. The carriage is provided with a carriage lock which includes eccentric elements that lie over the tracks. When the elements are turned, they bear against the tracks and prevent the carriage from moving along the base. In the alternative, the locking elements may be mounted on the base, so that when they are turned, they bear against the carriage.
