摘要： A hair accessory designed to augment apparent hair length and thickness. The accessory is crafted from a rectangular piece of fabric, two ornamental beads, and a circular elastic band. The beads/elastic component of the accessory are mounted near the edge along one of the lenghts of the fabric. They are either slid through a small loop installed on the fabric or the elastic containing the beads is sewn directly to one edge of the fabric. The elastic and beads wrap around the hair at the base of the neck and the two hemispheres of the fabric are blended with the hair into a cornrow. The cornrow is blended to the desired length and the bottom end is secured with a circular elastic band commonly used for tying pony tails. In a variation of the aforementioned accessory the two beads are mounted on a circular elastic band which is threaded through a seam sewn along one of the width dimensions of the rectangular fabric. The second embodiment is also intended to be wrapped around a pony tail gathered at the base of the neck by means of its beads/elastic component. Wrapping the beads and elastic around the hair would also cause the rectangular fabric to wrap around the hair as it flows over it.

摘要： Replacement hair strands having a hair-joining element comprise a flat, thin platelet with one replacement hair strand embedded on an end of the platelet, and at least one thin rib that protrudes at an angle with respect to the strand direction of the replacement hair strand from one of two flat sides of the platelet. The rib has flat sides that taper toward its free end. The rib has a height and a base thickness, and the height is greater than the base thickness. The base thickness is approximately the same as a thickness of the platelet. The rib is configured to envelop natural hair strands longitudinally aligned with the strand direction of the replacement hair strand to securely connect the replacement hair strand to the natural hair strands.

A hair addition according to one embodiment includes a plurality of hair strands having upper and lower ends, at least two threads coupling the upper ends together, and two layers of polyurethane sandwiching the hair strand upper ends and the at least two threads. The two layers of polyurethane form a strip, and at least one clip is coupled to the strip. It may be desirable for a diameter of the strip to be no more than 25%-50% greater than a diameter of the hair strands. A method of formation includes: aligning a plurality of hair strands; coupling an end of the hair strands together using thread; sandwiching the coupled end of hair strands and the thread between two layers of polyurethane; curing the two layers of polyurethane; and coupling at least one clip to the cured polyurethane.

摘要： The methodd provides for the attachment of extensions or wefts of hair to the naturally growing hair of a person. First, the location of where the extension is to be attached to the person is determined. Then, the hair is parted along that location. The hair along the part is gathered together in small clumps. A crimpable anchor device is located onto each clump of hair. Each anchor device is positioned along the respective hair clump to a position near the scalp of the person. The anchor devices are crimped so as to secure their positions. Then, the extension is sewn to the clumps of hair using needle and thread. The needle and thread pass through the respective clumps at locations between the anchor devices and the scalp. The naturally growing hair is allowed to fall in place so as to cover the points of attachment.

摘要： A hair extension for a ponytail is described. The hair extension may comprise an elastic band having a looped end and a free end. A plurality of hairs may be connected to the band by weaving or sewing the plurality of hairs into a track or weft that is then attached to the band. The elastic band may have a taut and a relaxed configuration. The track or weft may be attached to the band while the band is in the taut configuration such that when the band is relaxed, the track or weft is wavy. The looped end of the band may be formed by folding a tip of the band over and securing it to a portion of the band. The loop may have an opening through which a user's natural hair may be inserted.
