摘要： A method for attaching a hair extension to natural hair of an individual includes threading portions of natural hair through a first mesh and a fixing element. The first mesh including a first grid-based mesh with two or more openings and two or more first portions of snap buttons, where the natural hair is threaded through the two or more openings. The method further includes positioning the first mesh against the scalp, fixing the first mesh to the portions of natural hair with the fixing element positioned against the mesh, and fastening, with the snap buttons, a second mesh to the first mesh. The second mesh includes a second grid-based mesh with hair extensions affixed thereto, and two or more second portions of the snap buttons fixed to the second grid-based mesh where the first portions of the snap buttons align with the second portions of the snap buttons.

摘要： A product and process for making a transitorily colored sombre hair extension that creates a natural looking sombre effect. The hair extension comprises a hair bundle consisting of a plurality of hair strands having varied lengths. The hair is colored a first color, the bundle realigned, so that the ends of the hair strands are varied in length at the top portion. Then the top half of the hair bundle is color processed to a second color. Again, the strands are realigned and the varied length hair ends are returned to the tail portion. This results in a sombre colored hair extension with a mid-section of the hair bundle that contains transitorily colored hair with a blend of the first color in the top portion of the hair bundle with the second color in the tail portion of the hair bundle.

In a preferred embodiment, the hair extension comprises strands that are attached together in such a way as to provide a substantially flat configuration, such that opposed sides are defined. This helps the hair extension to lay flat against a person's head. The opposed sides may have different hair colours on them, allowing flexibility and additional styling options. Preferably, the aligned hairs are compressed into a narrowed tip section, which is used to fasten the hair extension to a person's natural hair, using a deformable member such as a micro ring. A method of manufacturing the hair extension, and a method of attaching the hair extension to a subject, are also disclosed.
