摘要： A round baler is provided for producing bales. The baler has a bale-forming chamber, at least one roller that is driven and that defines a part of an extent of the bale-forming chamber and that is mounted on a moving holder. Continuous, flexible bale forming elements are driven and define another part of the extent of the bale-forming chamber. The bale forming elements contact a first rotating body and a second rotating body, of which the first rotating body is mounted on the holder. It is proposed that the second rotating body is coupled with the holder with respect to motion by a drive connection, so that both move together with the growing bale.

摘要： A pressing and baling machine (1) for compression of vegetable fibres into a compressed round bale (7) comprises a frame (2), on which is assembled a pressing chamber (5, 6) equipped on its internal circumference with rotatable rolls (15) for rotation and pressing of the bale (7). The pressing chamber (5, 6) consists of a lower chamber part (5) and an upper chamber part (6) which are displaceable in relation to each other so as to free an area of the bale (7) allowing the body to be packaged in elastic plastic foil. The lower pressing chamber part (5) is connected to a lower frame section (3). The upper chamber part (6) is connected to an upper frame section (4), and two frame sections (3, 4) are displaceably interconnected. The upper chamber part (6) is rotatably supported in relation to the frame (2) around a vertical axis (9) when the chamber parts are at a distance from each other. At least one retaining arm (11) is attached to the pressing chamber part (7) for a roll (13) of packaging material, for packaging of the bale (7), so that the retaining arm (7) rotates with the upper chamber part (6) and during rotation issues packaging material to the bale (7).

摘要： A method of splicing a belt in a round baler having a bale forming chamber defined by at least one elongated belt having opposing ends spliced together to form a continuous band. The splice includes a first and a second series of similar side-by-side loops connected to and extending from the respective opposing ends of the belt, and an attaching element extending through both series of loops to maintain the opposing ends of the belt in alignment and close proximity to each other. Retention components affixed to the attaching element retain it in operative relationship to the loops and are disposed outwardly of the outer loops.

An adjustment mechanism is provided for adjusting the volume of the bale starting chamber, for accommodating baling of various crops. A series of starting chamber rollers are supported between a pair of arms, which are pivotably mounted to the baler. The adjustment mechanism is operable to control the position of the pair of arms prior to bale formation, and thereby the position of the starting chamber rollers within the bale forming chamber of the baler. In this manner, the size of the starting chamber can be adjusted.

摘要： A system for controlling the density of bales formed in a round baler includes a hydraulic cylinder unit of the single acting type connected between the frame of the round baler and a pair of arms which are pivotally mounted on the baler frame. These arms carry a set of conveying members or rollers and are movable between a bale starting position and a full bale position. The bale density control system includes a control valve that is adjustable in order to permit fluid flow from the hydraulic cylinder unit to a reservoir when the fluid pressure in the hydraulic cylinder unit reaches a preselected level. When the arms move from their bale starting position to their full bale position, the hydraulic cylinder unit is contracted and fluid flows from the hydraulic cylinder unit to the reservoir via the control valve when the preselected level of fluid pressure is reached. Conversely, when the arms move from their full bale position to their bale starting position, the hydraulic cylinder unit is extended and fluid flows from the reservoir to the hydraulic cylinder unit via a one way check valve.
