    • A valve includes an air inlet for air coming from a first part of an engine intake passage, which is positioned upstream of a throttle valve and an air outlet for air moving toward a second part of the intake passage which is positioned downstream of the throttle valve. A hollow tubular element is connected to the air inlet and has primary connecting orifices between the air inlet and the air outlet. A movable obturator is housed within the tubular element. A magnetic core and winding is energized by an electrical control unit to generate a magnetic field to move a conical edge of the obturator to selectively open the primary connecting orifices to obtain laminar air flow across the primary connecting orifices, with this laminar air flow being directly proportional to the air passage section provided by the opened primary connecting orifices.

    • A device for controlling the throttle position of a carburetor during an accelerator release stage, in accordance with the speed of the engine. The device includes a vacuum motor which acts on a control lever associated with the carburetor throttle and which is in fluid communication with the intake suction manifold of the engine and with the atmosphere. An electromagnet device is energized by a control device which receives signals representing various engine parameters as detected by sensing devices. The electromagnet device includes a movable keeper including a bushing which slides between a pair of abutments under the effect of the magnetic field created by the electromagnets of the electromagnet device and of a spring which opposes the force applied by the magnetic field. The bushing includes a valve member which controls a pipe in order to place the vacuum motor in communication with the atmosphere.

    • A carburetor for internal combustion engines comprises, inter alia, a body tube into which the main feed circuit and the idling and progression feed circuit open.During cold-engine starting and operation, the richness and flow rate of the mixture delivered by the carburetor has to be increased. For this purpose, choke valves disposed in the carburetor body tube upstream of the main feed circuit have been used for some time, these when closed enabling the fuel to flow from this latter feed circuit even for low air throughputs through the tube. The carburetor throttle valve is also disposed in a "fast idle" position in order to increase the mixture flow rate.The invention generally relates to a device which controls the positions of the choke valve and throttle valve by taking account of the engine temperature, and more particularly which makes said positions entirely automatic, independently of correct use by the driver.
