    • An electronic brake system for road vehicles includes a decentrally formed electronic device and at least one central module. The central module includes at least one microprocessor with its individual intelligence. A module (1, 2, 3, 4) is coordinated in each case to a respective wheel. The modules (1, 2, 3, 4) also include microprocessors with an individual intelligence function. The wheel modules are hierarchically subordinated to the central module (5, 6). The central module (5, 6) is integrated system-wide into the remaining vehicle electronics.     • An electronic circuit, in particular for an anti-skid protection system for vehicles is provided with at least with one microcomputer (2). The microcomputer (2) controls a load (4) via a final amplifier (3). A resistor circuit (6, 7, 8) is furnished for surveillance of the final amplifier (3) as well as of the load (4). The resistor circuit (6, 7, 8) is disposed parallel to the final transistor (5). The microcomputer (2) or a separate control circuit scans the voltage at the junction nodal point (9) between the final transistor (5) and the load (4) at predetermined points in time and checks it for appropriate level. The resistor circuit (6, 7, 8) is connectable via an electronic switch (10, 11), controlled by the microcomputer (2) or by the separate control circuit, as desired with the operating voltage U.sub.B or with ground. The circuit allows a distinction of errors of the final transistor (5) and of the load (4).

    • An anti-lock braking system for a two-axle all-wheel drive vehicle having two intra-axle differentials and an engageable central inter-axle differential comprises a wheel sensor associated with each of the wheels for determining the rotational behavior of each of the wheels, and a four-channel electronic control circuit for providing individual wheel regulation. The electronic control circuit also detects whether the central differential is engaged or not and whether a malfunction has occurred in one of the channels. If one of the regulating channels has a malfunction and the central differential is not engaged, the electronic control circuit switches off regulation only in the malfunctioning channel. If, however, the central differential is engaged when a malfunction in one of the regulating channels has occurred, then the electronic control circuit switches off both the malfunctioning channel as well as an intact channel associated with a diagonally opposite wheel.

    • This invention provides an anti-lock and/or an anti-slip apparatus for commercial-type vehicles, in which there is a front axle and two live rear axles. The apparatus includes an electronic system as part of the anti-lock and/or anti-slip system. Such electronic system is preferably a four-channel system. To improve the quality of regulation during acceleration and braking, there is an additional speed sensor for the direct or indirect monitoring of the angular velocity of the cardan shaft. The electronic system determines whether the rotational speed of the cardan shaft varies from the average speed of the monitored wheels (vehicle reference speed). If a variance is determined, the electronic system activates measures for an alarm indicator, the regulation of the retarder acting on the drive train and/or for the synchronization and subsequent locking of the longitudinal differential.

    • An apparatus for the generation of compressed air is disclosed, where the supply of air from the compressor (1) to the user (6) is interrupted in case of preset user-side pressure. This apparatus prevents a freezing in case of low ambient temperatures in the pressure lines in which condensed water has formed. A temperature sensitive switching device (14, 29) responds to the actual ambient temperature. The switching device (14) does not stop the compressor (1) in case of a preset user-side pressure and in case of a falling below of a preset ambient temperature. The compressor (1) carries then the warmed-up air through a region of the device before discharging it into the surrounding atmosphere. The device is particularly suited for compressed-air generation plants in motor vehicles which are adapted to be used in cases of low ambient temperatures.

    • A current regulator for an inductive load especially for a coil of an electromagnetic solenoid valve. The current flow through the coil is regulated and compared by means of an operational amplifying nominal current value. The inductive load comparator is initially controlled by a first conductive diode. A second diode having a higher voltage rating than that of the first diode is rendered conductive whenever the nominal current value in an inductive coil decreases rapidly. The current regulator ensures that the magnetic energy in the inductive load remains unchanged when the nominal current value remains constant or changes in small amounts. When a rapid decrease of the coil current occurs, the second diode is rendered conductive.
