    • A faucet having a clamping mechanism having a guide and clamping arms retained by a detent in contracted position when in disengaged position for placing the faucet on a support wall with the clamping mechanism extending through an opening in the support wall. On connecting the water supply to the faucet valves, the water under pressure operates a hydraulic motor to automatically move the clamping arms toward engaged position to release the detent so a spring will expand the clamping arms to expanded position to engage the clamping side of the support wall in engaged position.

    • Apparatus for cutting a smooth concentric hole in a metal workpiece. The apparatus fits in a standard industrial drill chuck and has a pilot drill and tap at one end which drills and taps a pilot hole seating a mandrel on the metal workpiece. When the mandrel is seated, a cam plate and spring arrangement automatically advances the cutting teeth and provides the proper pressure on the cuttering teeth to cut the hole. The cutting teeth have a special anti-breakthrough portion which provides controlled drilling of a smooth hole. A clutch is provided which controls the torque delivered to the apparatus and allows the cam plate to function properly. The device may be adapted easily to accommodate various hole sizes by changing its faceplate.

    • A snap-on, easily removable, fluid shut off valve (with pipe and interlocking member) that is useful as a low cost, primary turn off valve for domestic and commercial fluid fixtures and is quickly installed by manual snap-on between the inlet fluid supply and the supply pipe to conventional fixtures such as faucets or the like. The valve comprises a rigid housing having an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, and a cross-over passage separating the first and second chambers that houses a moveable ball or poppet valve member that is held in the cross-over chamber by a spring retainer. A mechanical plunger or cam device (operable from the exterior of the housing) is disposed within the outlet chamber for contacting and pushing the ball or poppet valve member against the spring retainer, away from the valve seat, to open the valve. The first and second chamber openings receive spiral-shaped spring pipe end retaining members, each having an inside diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the inserted pipe mounted between level bushings. Each spiral-shaped retaining member has radial segments that deform in the direction of the pipe inserted that interlocks the pipe end in each chamber. Cooperating fluid seals prevent leakage.
