摘要： A technology for reducing the so-called “phosphor burn-in” phenomenon where the variation of luminance arises by reducing display luminance of a certain pixel caused by deterioration in a display apparatus constituted by an organic electro luminescence element is provided. In the display apparatus, when displaying an image acquired by an image acquiring unit, luminance substantially same as average luminance of the acquired image is set to a non-display area where the image is not displayed.

When notified of the opened state by the opened/closed detection unit (308), a display control unit (308) reads a desired web page from the storage unit (305) to a first storage area corresponding to a size of the first display unit (106), develops the web page as bitmap data, and displays the bitmap data on the first display unit (106). When notified of the closed state by the opened/closed detection unit (307), the display control unit (308) erases the display of the first display unit (106), reads from the storage unit (305) the same web page developed to the first storage area as bitmap data, minimizes a size of characters, develops the web page as bitmap data to a second storage area corresponding to a size of the second display unit (201), and displays the bitmap data on the second display unit (201).

When a given time period elapses, the resumption unit (309) instructs the lock unit (306) to terminate the temporary cancellation. An opened/closed detection unit (310) detects an opened or closed state of a folding part (103), and notifies the detected state to the lock unit (306). The lock unit (306) terminates the temporary cancellation when the folding part is in an opened state.
