摘要： A method of transmitting at least one data stream using superposition coding (SPC) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, a method includes receiving feedback information from at least two access terminals (ATs), assigning the at least two ATs as a first AT or a second AT based on the feedback information, wherein the first AT has a smaller path loss than that of the second AT, and the second AT has a larger path loss than that of the first AT, channel coding the at least one inputted data stream by a channel coding scheme, modulating the at least one data stream using layered modulation scheme, allocating wireless resources to symbols of the first AT and the second AT, and transmitting the symbols to at least one of the first AT and the second AT according to the allocated wireless resources.

摘要： A method of transmitting and receiving data using superposition modulation in a wireless communication system having multiple antennas is disclosed. More specifically, the method comprises encoding the at least one inputted data stream by a channel coding scheme, puncturing the at least one inputted coded data stream into at least two sub-streams, layer-modulating the at least two sub-streams using layer-modulation schemes, transmitting the layered-modulated sub-streams via the multiple antennas, wherein transmission power of each antenna is based channel condition, and receiving by at least one user the layered-modulated sub-stream, wherein the each user uses different demodulation scheme.

In addition, a method for retransmitting subpackets includes transmitting a first subpacket of a packet transmission from at least two transmitting entities. Upon receiving a non-acknowledgement NACK generated responsive to the first subpacket, the method further includes alternating transmission of subsequent subpackets from different transmitting entities. Upon receiving an acknowledgement ACK generated responsive to any subpackets of the packet transmission, the method further includes transmitting a first subpacket of a new packet transmission.

摘要： A method for providing an assignment acknowledgement includes receiving a forward link overhead channel message at an access terminal (AT), the overhead channel message including parameters used to indicate which shared control channel (SCCH) message data blocks are to be acknowledged by the AT and the timing for transmitting the assignment acknowledgment. The method further includes receiving a forward link SCCH signal having SCCH data blocks, decoding the SCCH data blocks according to parameters provided by the overhead channel message, detecting a change in access terminal assignment for the AT based upon the SCCH signal, and receiving forward link packet data, or transmitting reverse link data packet at the AT via the assigned data channel. Additional operations include identifying an offset which defines that a certain number of subpackets of the packet data have been transmitted before an assignment acknowledgement is to be transmitted, and transmitting the assignment acknowledgement according to the offset to indicate successful decoding of one of the SCCH data blocks only if the packet data has not been acknowledged
