    • An electrophotographic fixing device which is fundamentally constructed by assembling a heat fusing roller made of a resilient material, a rigid press-contacting roller, and a heating roller, wherein the heat fusing roller is provided at a position to contact a copying material at the side thereof bearing a developed image, and has its surface heated by means of the heating roller, and wherein the copying material is pressed against the heat fusing roller by the press-contacting roller to complete the image fixing. The fixing device further includes means to apply an appropriate quantity of an image separating agent onto a front end part of a non-fixed reproduced image on the copying material, over a certain width, the device being provided at a position immediately preceding the fixing device and actuated by a timer.

    • A rotation detecting device, which is compatible regardless of whether a process control device for processing an output signal of the rotation detecting device is standard one or new one having high input signal resolving power, and, also, a rotation detecting device equipped bearing assembly having such rotation detecting device, are provided. The rotation detecting device includes an encoder provided rotatably and having a plurality of circumferentially equidistantly arranged to-be-detected poles, and a sensor for detecting the to-be-detected poles. The use is made of a multiplying unit for multiplying the phase of the to-be-detected poles from an output of the sensor. The use is also made of a pulse outputting unit for receiving an output of the multiplying unit or both the output of the multiplying unit and an output of the sensor and output pulses having two multiplying powers different from each other.

    • A magnetic load sensor unit is provided which can detect a load with a minute movement of its part, and which is durable and less likely to be influenced by temperature. The sensor unit includes a flange member (1) deflectable when an axial load is applied, a support member (2) supporting the flange member (1), a magnetic target (3) which generates a magnetic field, and a magnetic sensor (4) for detecting the magnetic field generated by the magnetic target (3). The magnetic target (3) and the magnetic sensor (4) are fixed to the flange member (1) and the support member (2), respectively, such that when the flange member (1) is deflected, the magnetic target (3) and the magnetic sensor (4) move relative to each other, whereby magnitude of the load can be detected based on the magnetic field detected by the magnetic sensor (4).
