摘要： A scanning receiver is formed of a memory for storing reception frequencies corresponding to a plurality of reception channels; a receiving section for receiving radio waves to be tuned to the reception frequencies; a control device for controlling the memory and the receiving section so as to read out the reception frequencies corresponding to the reception channels successively in a predetermined order from the memory in predetermined order to thereby cause the receiving section to operate. The memory including a fixed storage portion in which parts of the reception frequencies are fixedly written and an additional storage portion in which parts of the reception frequencies are rewritably written, the additional storage portion including a select/non-select setting area in which select/non-select information is written, the select/non-select information indicating that when the reception frequencies corresponding to the reception channels are read out from the fixed and additional storage portions, the reading out of each of the reception frequencies is necessary or not.

摘要： In a scanning receiver for receiving a signal by scanning the frequency of a received signal, the speed of a scanning operation is made fast with skipping non-modulated signals and digital signals. AF signal is changed into A/D converted values, and first and second amplitude distribution are respectively formed from A/D converted values. Non-modulated signal is discriminated based on the first amplitude distribution, and digital signal is discriminated based on the second amplitude distribution.

摘要： An automatic frequency transfer and storage method is disclosed in a scanning receiver having a channel memory having a plurality of storage locations for storing frequency numbers corresponding to frequencies. In the preferred embodiment, the storage locations are grouped into channel banks. Each storage location is identified with a channel number and each channel bank is identifed with a channel bank identifier. A source channel number and either a destination channel number or destination channel bank identifier are specified. A controller searches the specified channel bank for a clear storage location. In either case, the controller displays the pertinent frequency transfer information and the transfer is executed upon confirmation, and the source storage location is cleared.
