    • A produce data collector which includes a spectrometer which minimizes noise from scattered light and from wavelengths outside the operating range of the spectrometer. The produce data collector includes a light source for illuminating a produce item. The spectrometer obtains spectral information about the produce item in incoming reflected light from the produce item and includes a linear variable filter, a photodetector adjacent the linear variable filter, and an optical slit member above a primary surface of the linear variable filter which has a slit with a width sufficient to minimize scattering of the incoming light by interior surfaces of the linear variable filter. The produce data collector may additionally include a filter, such as an infrared filter.

    • Techniques for removing noise effects in processing a barcode signal. A photosignal produced by scanning a barcode is used to generate a digital first derivative signal. Positive and negative thresholds are generated based on the digital first derivative signal. Processing windows are defined for each region of the first derivative signal which exceeds a threshold. Each processing window is bounded by a window opening point at which the first derivative signal exceeds a threshold, and by a window closing point, which is the last crossing of the threshold by the first derivative signal before the first derivative signal makes a zero crossing. Each region is processed to locate a geometric center of the region. A logic transition is recognized for the geometric center of each region defined by a processing window.

    • The present disclosure provides a method for notifying an interference measurement signalling, including that: notifying, by a network side, information of M subframes included in an interference measurement subframe set or a channel quality measurement subframe set to a terminal. The present disclosure also provides a method for measuring interference, including that: receiving, by a terminal, a notification of information of an interference measurement subframe set or a quality measurement subframe set sent by a network side, performing interference measurement on each subframe of the interference measurement subframe set or the channel quality measurement subframe set, and calculating an average interference value; and determining, by the terminal, Channel Quality Indication (CQI) information according to the average interference value, and feeding the CQI information back to a base station. The present disclosure further provides a method for feeding back channel quality information, including that: performing, by a terminal, interference measurement on one or more subframes specified by a base station, determining a CQI according to the measurement result, and feeding back the CQI to the base station. The present disclosure also provides devices for implementing above methods. In the present disclosure, the base station can accurately determine a modulation and coding scheme of the terminal according to the interference measurement result, thus improving data transmission efficiency.

The embodiments of the present invention also provide a roaming communication apparatus and system. The present invention enables a roaming subscriber to enjoy the communication service in a roaming network where no roaming agreement is signed without changing a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM). The solution is easy and convenient and saves expenses of the subscriber. At the same time, this attracts subscribers without roaming authority to use the network of an operator, thereby increasing the revenue of the operator.
