摘要： Nanoparticles in a colloid are purified, with the colloid including a fluid, unwanted matter, and the nanoparticles to be purified. An electric field is applied that is substantially spatially uniform over a distance that is at least equal to a characteristic dimension of the nanoparticles, so that at least some of the nanoparticles move towards at least one collection surface as a result of the force arising between their electrical charge and the electric field, whereupon nanoparticles are collected on said at least one collection surface. The collection surface(s) may be one or more electrodes to which a voltage potential is applied. The collected nanoparticles are then removed from the collection surface, e.g., by dispersing them into another fluid.

摘要： A computer-implemented method for simulating an electrical circuit. The method includes (a) setting a first temperature distribution in the electrical circuit, (b) performing an electrical simulation across the electrical circuit taking into consideration the first temperature distribution, (c) performing a thermal simulation across the electrical circuit taking into consideration a result of the electrical simulation, to obtain a second temperature distribution, and (d) determining whether a criterion for termination the simulation is met. If the criterion is met, terminate the simulation. If the criterion is not met, assign the second temperature distribution to the first temperature distribution, and repeat steps (b), (c), and (d).

摘要： A system for replacing physical items in images is discussed. A depicted item can be selected and removed from an image via image mask data and pixel merging techniques. Virtual light source positions can be generated based on real-world light source data from the image. A rendered simulation of a virtual item can then be integrated into the image to create a modified image for display.
