    • This invention relates to retrieval for multimedia content, and provides a program endpoint time detection apparatus for detecting an endpoint time of a program by performing processing on audio signals of said program, comprising an audio classification unit for classifying said audio signals into a speech signal portion and a non-speech signal portion; a keyword retrieval unit for retrieving, as a candidate endpoint keyword, an endpoint keyword indicating start or end of the program from said speech signal portion; a content analysis unit for performing content analysis on context of the candidate endpoint keyword retrieved by the keyword retrieval unit to determine whether the candidate endpoint keyword is a valid endpoint keyword; and a program endpoint time determination unit for performing statistics analysis based on the retrieval result of said keyword retrieval unit and the determination result of said content analysis unit, and determining the endpoint time of the program. In addition, this invention also provides a program information retrieval system. With present invention, program information regarding a program attended by user can be rapidly obtained.

    • A method for determining the areas of resin to be cured in an optical stereolithography process for rapid prototyping using sequential laser curing of layers of a resin having a selected thickness to produce a desired shape of cured resin. The method includes the steps of generating a computer model of desired shape and dividing the model into layers of thickness equal to the thickness of the layers each defining an area of resin to be cured. A set of layers including and sequentially adjacent an intermediate layer is selected and the areas in the intermediate layer of resin which would be oversized by laser curing of layers later in the curing sequence is determined. The 2-D layer data used to build a 3-D model is modified to compensate for the oversizing and the steps repeated by sequentially selecting sets of layers to include substantially all of the layers as the intermediate layer. The sets are sequentially selected with each subsequent set having the intermediate layer being the layer adjacent the intermediate layer of the previously selected set. The first selected set includes the first layer to be cured and the sequential subsequent sets respectively include as the intermediate layer the subsequently cured adjacent layer.

    • A system and method for RFID privacy-preserving authentication is disclosed. The method first has a reader sending a request and a first random number to a tag. The tag then generates a second random number. A plurality of hash values are then computed at the tag. Each hash value uses the first random number, the second random number and at least one part of a key of the tag as inputs. The second random number and the computed hash values are then sent to the reader. Lastly, the reader identifies a validity of the tag from the received values. The hash values are all generated in parallel and are independent to each other.
