摘要： A probe assembly used in testing instrument for determining optical signal within a test cell, comprising a top plate (5;205) with a through-hole (52;250) therein; a cylindrical light hood (2;202) having a central channel (21;221); the lower end of the optical pickup (1) is inserted into said channel (21;221) and surrounded by said light hood, and said light hood can slide down and up within a small distance isolating said one test cell of the sample being detected from its adjacent cells and surroundings when the lower end of said light hood is in said protruding position, so that the light interference from the adjacent test cells and surroundings with (to) the determination of the sampling being detected can be avoided. Also, the present invention further relates to the light hood included in the probe assembly and the instruments including the probe assembly.

摘要： Disclosed is a process of making pigment coated paper useful for both carbonless copy paper and inkjet printing paper. The pigment comprises mesoporous silico-aluminates from calcium bentonite by controlled extraction of octahedral aluminum under mild condition, by acid, preferably phosphoric acid. The mesoporous silicoaluminates contain only tetrahedral aluminum as the residual aluminum. As the result of the selective removal of the octahedral aluminum, the mesoporous silico-aluminates have several unprecedented properties compared to products produced by conventional processes either by mild acid-activation or by a removal of all the aluminum. The mesoporous silicoaluminates are formulated with polyvinyl alcohol as the binder.

摘要： A low cost support useful in chemical reactions and automotive arts is formed by rehydrating a flash calcined gibbsite in an aqueous acidic solution. The rehydrated support can be subsequently stabilized by doping with a stabilizing metal such as lanthanum. The alumina support has excellent thermal stability, high sodium tolerance, high activity with low precious metal loading, and high pore volume and surface area.
