    • A candle filter assembly for a filter device includes, in an exemplary embodiment, a tubular core having an outer surface and an inner surface, and including a plurality of openings extending therethrough, a filter media supported by the core defining a core and filter media subassembly, and a drain pipe including a plurality of openings extending therethrough to permit fluid to flow between an outer surface of the drain pipe and the inside of the drain pipe. The drain pipe is located inside the core. The candle filter assembly also includes an end cap, a first sealing block including a drain pipe opening. The drain pipe extends through the drain pipe opening in the first sealing block. The candle filter assembly further includes a compression nut threadingly engaging the drain pipe extending through the first sealing block.

    • A vacuum bag media and associated method of production, which includes a first layer that includes an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane and at least one second layer that includes a first component having a first melting point and a second component having a second melting point that is higher than the first melting point, wherein the first layer is attached to the at least one second layer. The second layer can include cellulose material, spunbond, nonwoven fabric, and a thermal bond, nonwoven fabric. Attachment of the first layer of material to the at least one second layer of material can occur through thermobonding, e.g., heated gas, infrared heat and heated calender rolls. The application of adhesives and the use of ultrasonic energy can also bond the layers together. Approximately five percent (5%) to fifty percent (50%) of the first component can be selectively melted for superior airflow.

    • A mold includes a pair of spaced elongated deformable members and spaced elongated flexible strap members between and connect to the deformable members with the axis of the deformable members parallel to one another and transverse to the axis of the strap members. A set of a plurality of donut rolls spaced from one another along the length or the strap members is provided in the space between adjacent strap members to move a heat softened glass sheet over the strap members and below shaped surface of a vacuum mold. The strap members are moved to lift the sheet off the rolls toward and into contact with the shaping surface. The deformable members are deformed as the flexible members bias the sheet against the shaped surface. Vacuum pulled through the shaping surface maintains the sheet against the shaped surface as the strap members move away from the shaped surface.
