摘要： Communication sessions between an external device and an implantable medical device are established by the initiating device periodically transmitted bursts of energy and with the device that is the target of the bursts periodically sniffing for the transmitted bursts of energy. A silent period between bursts may be established and the sniff interval is chosen to avoid repetitively sniffing during the silent period. The length of the bursts may be chosen to reduce the delay in establishing the communications and/or to reduce the power consumption. The implantable medical device may use multiple modes of operation where in some modes the implantable medical device sniffs and in another mode the implantable medical device transmits bursts. The sniff interval for the implantable medical device may vary depending upon the mode. The burst length may vary depending upon whether the external device or the implantable device is transmitting the bursts.

摘要： An autonomous modular wheel assembly includes at least one connector for connecting the wheel control assembly to a vehicle axle, one or more suspension arms that support the assembly with respect to the axle, an electric drive motor connected to a the vehicle wheel, a steering bearing, and a steering actuator. The electric drive motor and steering bearing control the operation of the vehicle wheel in response to commands received via the actuator. The connector has one or more electrical connection points for providing power and information to the wheel assembly. The robot wheel increases the vehicle steering range to up to 150 degrees and enables new vehicle drive modes. The traditional +/−30 degrees of front wheel steering are enabled, as well as at least three new drive modes: four wheel parallel and converse steering, spin on spot steering, and 90 degree sideways motion.

摘要： A system to monitor gain in a broadband radio frequency transport system that includes a radio frequency antenna, a remote unit, and a host unit adapted to receive a signal from the remote unit over a transmission link. The remote unit includes a pilot tone generator adapted to generate at least one single-frequency tone having a known power level, a summing circuit operably associated with the pilot tone generator adapted to sum the single-frequency tone with the respective received radio frequency signal. Each host unit includes a pilot tone receiver circuit to receive the transmitted signal and detect the single-frequency tone transmitted over the transmission link. The host unit includes a controller to determine a gain within the transmission link and to determine if the gain is in a preset range of gains based on the power level of the received pilot tone.
